Player Sponsorship 2024

The club has reached out to see if we want to renew our sponsorship of Ryan Byrnes for the 2024 season.

So I guess the questions are:
1. Are there enough people who want to sponsor a player next year (100 shares @$27.50 each = $2750 total)
2. If the above answer is yes - do we want to sponsor the Byrninator again or do we want to sponsor someone else?

I'm happy to deal with the admin on it again (if you're happy to have me do it) or pass it on to someone else if they want to do it.

Sure, I'd go again for a few shares. I'd also like to stick with Ryan. He showed a lot of improvement last year and I'd like to give him a vote of confidence. I can see him taking D. Butler's spot. Eventually.

In the past we'd normally support one of the newer guys to the club, but as a few have mentioned it's kinda nice to stick with Ryan since we can

Byrnes would be the first Saintsational sponsored player for sometime who has stayed on long enough to be in the emerging player category.

Hi there - only just saw this thread for the first time. Have been part of the sponsorship group for some time and happy to continue. Very happy for you to continue the admin, if you are happy to take on the burden again!

sorry for the lack of communication - it's been a stupidly busy start of the year for me.

Just eyeballing the interest (or lack of) at the moment and as DisBel pointed out the time is getting close to cutoff as to whether we continue a sponsorship this year - last year there was seemingly a lot more interest and we still ended up short just over 20 shares.

Soo - I guess the question is do we have enough people both interested (and monetarily liquid) to do it this year, or do we put it on hiatus and try again next year?

A second part to that is that while the work has eased off slightly at the moment, I know I'm going to be busy (and away) for stretches during the year, so if someone else wanted to take over I'd also be quite happy to pass the info over to them.

OK, I am going to take an executive decision - we look very much like we are going to be short here, and actions need to be put in place, so I am out. I have alternative options for player sponsorship and will go with the alternative. I would suggest the SS sponsorship is going to be on hiatus, voluntarily or otherwise.

I am happy to get back on board next year if it can be organized, however I cannot take on the administration of the sponsorship (which it sounds like it needs, as RITH appears to be very pressed for time as well). I would put my hand up, but I travel extensively for work, and often I am out of the country, which makes me less than ideal for something that potentially needs attention week to week.

Fair enough Dis - I'm still in discussions with the club as to whether we can do a partial sponsorship with another person/group that may be interested in sharing the cost, in the meantime they're keeping Saintsational on the club website as a sponsor as (in their words) "we're a valuable community partner to them, and at the very least deserve a tribute for the longstanding sponsorship we've provided in the past and likely future"

Regarding cutoff - we have until Round 5 if we do end up wanting to push for a full spot before we start missing out on anything substantial (match day tix, other functions etc.)
