SEN are working through their 2024 ladder predictions, and we are again being predicted to finish bottom six by commentators.



Interestingly, the H-S experts have all selected us to finish outside the top 8 and miss finals in 2024 (except Robbo).
I suppose it is not so much an indicator of our players, but more about our opposition.

For those who saw the recent David King and Kane Cornes discussion/argument will know Cornes has really lost the plot regarding St Kilda, I'm sure he actually pissed himself when King suggested St Kilda will make the eight and might sneak into the top four.

I can't take anything he says seriously after the whole Gresham/Carlisle basket case. "If they wanted Gresham so badly they should have just taken him at 5. Carlisle will never play a game for St Kilda"

He could not comprehend that it was a good outcome to get Carlisle plus Gresham with pick 18 instead of just taking Gresham with 5. Not an intelligent fellow

No, it was Jenkins who said we'd finish 13th.

Cornes said we would win under 11.5 matches in 2024.

Kingy disagreed - he believes we will improve and win 14 or 15 matches in 2024.

Regarding our midfield, Cornes also said that North Melbourne had ten players like Marcus Windhager already on their list. Kingy just shook his head at that one.

On balance, I think we are clearly better than these teams atm:

Essendon
Fremantle
Geelong (at Docklands only)
Gold Coast (in Vic)
Hawks
North
Richmond
Swans
The Bulldogs
The Eagles

And that's being realistic/conservative. Based on our 2024 fixture, this gives us 13 wins again in 2024. I reckon that's the benchmark.
