Re: Development strategies
Would that be regarded as a demotion for Lenny or simply a different role?

Re: Development strategies
With the number of midfielders we have recruited lately I'd hazard a guess. Lenny has also asked for time off for family.Banger9798 wrote: ↑Wed 10 Jan 2024 2:15pm Would that be regarded as a demotion for Lenny or simply a different role?
Which is what he planned on after Covid saw him cut away from GWS.
GWS currently have a very good array of older and younger mids who have hit there window.
Id hazard a guess that's its a flexible arrangement with a groups of highly experienced coaches, all bar Goddard, who could do with some development on matchday in case we lose one to Geelong soon.

Re: Development strategies
I can't see anything that was posted before the 21st of Dec. They must a have a preset option to release them periodically.

Re: Development strategies
I still have big reservations about our alignment with Sandringham. I think the club need to make some changes in this space.

Re: Development strategies
Sandy has emotional connection in the Bayside suburbs.
We don't need to change that, we just need to rebuild them.
Helping them win games would be great, I think the current list provides them with both opportunities to employ hardened VFL players and at the other end extend our development with potential rookie listed players who meet our needs. I actually think that is intended by the new agreement to provide a rookie listed spot from their list.
I imagine that will help their recruiting and ours.

Re: Development strategies
Since Adam McPhee took over as coach (about 2014?) as a stk employee (he was head of development) we have basically controlled Sandy
Maybe except recruiting
Coaching, Selection etc has been controlled by StK
There has not been a quota or 12/10 rule in place for a decade
StK has always been the priority- occasionally to the detriment of Sandringham performance- which is a secondary priority
If anything- Sandy has lost their identity a bit.
That and the VFL comp is a bit of a joke atm

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.
