James Stewart
Essendon delisted him, but he’s keen to continue. Sounds like we might be interested in having him do a pre-season at Moorabbin. Well, we have Grace Kelly in our AFLW team, why not have Jimmy Stewart, as well!

Re: James Stewart
James Stewart, he's about as reliable as Shaun McKernan and James Frawley were when we recruited them.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Stewart’s a very average footballer plus is in the wrong age demographic…much rather we had a look at Emerson Jeka

Re: James Stewart
At 29-30 next year is this what we really need a injury ridden player again.
Wouldn't Brynn Teakle be better he is 24 204cm and 102kg played 6 games for Port he has been delisted as well.

How disrespectful. One of my favourite actors and flew 20 combat mission in Europe in a B24 Liberator.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

You’re referring to The Stratton Story, right? That’s one of Jimmy’s pictures I actually haven’t seen.

Re: James Stewart
The club has decided that Dougal Howard is not the guy they want for full back, taking the oppositions tall forward.
Josh Battle and Calllum Wilkie are fine defenders but can't take on the very tall forwards.
They realise Zaine Cordy is a weak option so they are looking for an instant replacement while hoping that James Van Es will develop to fill the role in a few years.

Re: James Stewart
Maybe. But Stewart isn't the answer to any of that. Dougal is at least couple of classes above for a start.ace wrote: ↑Wed 15 Nov 2023 8:00pmThe club has decided that Dougal Howard is not the guy they want for full back, taking the oppositions tall forward.

Re: James Stewart
The club may or may not rate Howard and think Cordy is a weak option the club would have to be run by imbeciles to pivot to Stewart as the answer.ace wrote: ↑Wed 15 Nov 2023 8:00pmThe club has decided that Dougal Howard is not the guy they want for full back, taking the oppositions tall forward.

If any of the statements about the club and Howard are true, and I very much doubt they are.realdeal wrote: ↑Wed 15 Nov 2023 8:17pmThe club may or may not rate Howard and think Cordy is a weak option the club would have to be run by imbeciles to pivot to Stewart as the answer.ace wrote: ↑Wed 15 Nov 2023 8:00pmThe club has decided that Dougal Howard is not the guy they want for full back, taking the oppositions tall forward.

I’d have Caminitti train with the defenders over the preseason before looking at a recycled player who is not AFL standard like Stewart.

Re: James Stewart
I was hoping we would look at Stewart when he departed GWS but that was years ago. Now at 29/30 he is at the end of the road, surely we can find another backup key defender option rather than a constantly injured/delisted Essendon cast off.Saintmike65 wrote: ↑Tue 07 Nov 2023 10:44am Stewart’s a very average footballer plus is in the wrong age demographic…much rather we had a look at Emerson Jeka
