Wasn’t a horrible day for me. We beat the skunks and I was there.
Still remember those pleasant Sunday mornings at the club and having a beer with nick
Saw him lift the jumper at the game and thought nothing of it , had no idea at the time of the significance, to me nick was just another bloke and took it for granted that Collingwood fans were just unintelligent ferals

f*** he was a good player
Lovely bloke

Easily the most skilful and graceful player to have played for the Saints.

The best to watch IMO.

The greatest!

Thanks for posting this story. I will go and buy the book now.

Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

My fav player

Wasn't at the game.

But was surprised - a win at Vic Park...rare as hens teeth for us.

(Just checked and it seems we won there a total of 8 times - ever)

The victory helped heal the wounds of 1979, when I was there. (Collingwood 31.21.207 defeated St Kilda 3.11.29)

At the time I thought the act of showing his skin to the ferals was no big deal.

Say no more.

Pity the season went down the toilet after it, but stuff happens I suppose.

You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!
