Callout for moderators
Hi all
As you would have seen over the last few days (weeks, months, years!) there is a need for forum moderation, despite what some say.
I am looking into upgrades and updates for the forum software, security, infrustructure and a bunch of other things to make the site sustainable in the longterm - it would be great if there was someone/s who might be interested in putting their hand up to help Saintsational through to the next phase of its existence and (hopefully) it's next cycle of popularity.
For now - this would be in the form of a volunteer role, however I can envisage a scenario whereby we can offer moderators some form of remuneration in future.
If you would be interested in this please drop me a DM and we can have a chat.
Cheers!
Nick

Re: Callout for moderators
While we wait for new mods, I have just sent 1 x warning PM to a baiter and issued 2 x 1 weeks bans. Sainternist and Annoyedsaint. Pretty obvious breaches of the rules. Perhaps have a read of the rules to remind yourselves of what could get you banned. While we await new mods, I might up my reading of the forum. I might be as inconsistent and stupid as the MRO - but at least some of what I have just read, won't get unpunished.
AwayInUSA no longer ... have based myself back in Melbourne for a decade of Saintsational Success (with regular trips back to the USA)

While you and Big Mart play Dancing With The Stars in this forum, it ain't gonna happen.
Maybe stop taking over threads with posts that go for 18 paragraphs of empty vacuous drivel- that's a start

A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

Re: Callout for moderators
Some see being appointed as a mod as a way to settle old scores.
Don't think our administrators would fall into that trap.

Re: Callout for moderators
but imagine how much fun it would be !!
the first PM that ended up in my box
whinging about being baited
would get the first weeks holiday
that would fix that issue for evermore
then
i'd change my id piccy to this
then
obviously
my two sidekicks would have no work to do
'n i could get back to my drainage 'n moat issues
knowing all was well in the world

Re: Callout for moderators
That was funny.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Re: Callout for moderators
I have a message for Skeptic from Gaz.
Gaz asked how you were going.
I said you are doing the job well.
Gaz is pleased.

Re: Callout for moderators
Apologies… I missed this,
There was a software update last week. A day or so after, I had trouble posting for several hours. Some posts worked, others timed out.
Seems to have stopped now
