Re: Billings wants out
I hope he stays. If he's injury free he will play in the 1s. He's too good for the VFL.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Billings wants out
Me Ya know who I was thinking of the other day?
SS: no we don’t care Shane
Me: Dent Kent
Why? Because our picking up of players and offering of players with injury clouds.
I had no idea how many injuries Kent had at Melbourne and how much he was cooked prior to us even getting him.
I just thought he was a spud. But actually, as a junior was really good and he just had a Terri Le run of injuries. It’s a miracle that he managed to play 13 or whatever games a season with us in those first two years, let alone kick a few. But the thing is, he was probably comprised and never to be like anything close to his best by the time we got him.
I wonder about JB too…and I even wonder about the new Carlton player, not to mention DMac and others

Re: Billings wants out
Off to Melbourne is my info,
Hope he does better than Dunstan!
Must admit I liked both of them and Acres too.
I suppose you have to turn the list over but still hurts seeing them in another jumper,

Re: Billings wants out
He'd end up being the most expensive player Casey's ever had, if he plays the full season for them, Dunnys replacement, Richo must be taking the P155.whiskers3614 wrote: ↑Tue 17 Oct 2023 5:22pm Off to Melbourne is my info,

He is still a good player, when on the park. We must use this to improve our draft position.
How about something like Billings & 13 for 11 & future 2 or 3rd

Not expensive for Melbourne
We are paying half his fkn wage
Only 1 team got out of this with upside
Guess which one

Re: Billings wants out
He’s a mirage mate
You watch BM tell us all what a gun he was now he’s gone
Facts are he’s THE WORST pick 3 to have played at our club
An overrated gop
The crime here is the idiots signed him to long term deal
Thank **** Lyon said no more …
Cleaning out the plodders and dregs from Ratcho era thank god
And HE ASKED TO LEAVE
See ya Jack
And we don’t know how much club are paying but if it’s say 300 next year and **** all year 2 I’m ok with that we’ll save sone $ and reserve a spot for a player who actually wants to be there
Hope they have sights on something decent mature age

Re: Billings wants out
we got rid of a player we didnt want and didnt want us. we save a heap of money, and we open up a spot for someone that may have a future with us. cant see an issue with it. we didnt get more out of it because no one wanted to pay anything for him. 18 clubs all knew he was eager to leave, 17 laughed at the idea, one said pay us to take him.

Re: Billings wants out
God that’s wrong
Questions Teffers
Did we win the deal?
Are you happy paying a player to play elsewhere?
Who has a better list Melb or StK?
Why did Melbourne trade for Billings if he’s no good?
Fact is HE wanted out
A kid who wasn’t getting a kick played in front of him, no wonder he wanted out!

Do you keep players who don’t want to be at your club?
Do you play kids who are the future or a Billibgs (who the club probably knew mid year) didn’t want to be there ?
He’s a gop ….Melb lost depth ….he’s depth that’s it
10 years - Still couldn’t secure a spot in side 10 f kn years and you’re telling me what….lack of opportunity??????
3 years - he’s gone
3 years Philipou (who you are whinging about getting games in front of him) will be a star
Thank **** people at the club know where this list is at
And you’re nowhere near the club in any capacity whatsoever
“Yeah….nah””
Re: Billings wants out
155 games and could count the good ones on one hand. Eventually need to cut your losses and accept he isn’t good enough.
Crazy it took 10 years to work out he is no good.

But all those other AFL clubs who didn’t want him (even WITH us offering to pay $$….. just think about that…)
But they’re all wrong according to BM cause we didn’t get pick 1 for Billing’s
This site is comedy gold at times

Re: Billings wants out
That’s the area I truly hope we improve
Waiting 10 years to work it out has set us back a decade
It looks like (with all those recently put on 1 year deals) that Lyon is saying: perform or go
No more Rcho/Ratten “everyone’s nice let’s pay Gresham 800k a year…” (can’t believe he was on that)
We’ve had a group of gops who’ve had it pretty good for a while
Clarke only one left and I think he too knows it’s step up time
We need to draft we’ll now use list spots on kids who want to be there and show something
We may go backwards to do that (shoulda done it earlier - I’ve said it for a long time …torn)
Thankfully there is no more overrating where we are

Re: Billings wants out
Let’s see how he goes at Melb
Your probably an apologist that thinks every decision the club makes is right - history suggests otherwise
This deal was worse than the Luke Ball debacle - look how that turned out!
You probably agreed with that fk up as well lol

Re: Billings wants out
Can’t undo mistakes made in the past which includes signing Gresham, Billings and Coffield to ridiculous contracts.
To improve weed to clear out the overpaid and under performing.
As much as I dislike Collingwood they did this with Grundy, Stephenson and to a lesser degree Treloar.

Just offloaded a Premiership player - no problem
And agree - when they offloaded Treloar etc everyone said “they’ll plummet”
Err….don’t think they have…

Re: Billings wants out
If we have cleared out so much
Who did we bring in to give this cap space to?
Oh
And we are paying Billings
So we didn’t ‘clear’ his space.

Re: Billings wants out
Lies again
We aren’t paying all Billing’s - you haven’t a clue what we are paying
You still haven’t answered how you we’re keeping a player after he requested to LEAVE
Tie him up in the basement listening to your motivational tapes??

Re: Billings wants out
Anyway, sad outcome.
Such a waste of a pick 3.
Anyway, done. Our expensive baggage gradually being unloaded.
With Oliver kicking high wobblers into the fwd line JB might feel at home. If he plays in the firsts. Macadam ahead of him?

Re: Billings wants out
Good riddance to Gresham, Coffield and Billings. They are no big loss.
If they wanted to go, we don't want or need them.
They were all overpaid and in the case of the last two, we got nothing in return. for significant outlays.
Having said that I am glad and a bit relieved that Clark (no f****** e ffs) decided to sign on for another two years.
Now if we an talk the coach into playing Hotton, Heath and Keeler, all will be right with the world. At least down Moorabbin way AFAIC.

Re: Billings wants out
Good to see him gone.
Should have been done 4 years ago absolutely overpaid for what he has delivered in his time at the club.
Will be a good player for the Scorpions as he was at Sandringham.
See no point in keeping a player who wants out of the club.
BOOM BOOM
