Re: Operation: Get Mini
You would think Enright is going to be a head coach somewhere else soon enough. Needs some silverware with us first. Harvey's ship has sailed sadly, but is a solid assistant. Hayes has a higher ceiling but not sure where he is currently at on his journey.
I think one of Hayes and Harvey has to go for a dedicated forwards coach. This year is the mulligan with the injuries and inconsistent team structure up there.

And omlettes.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.
If you are not engaging AI actively and aggressively, you are doing it wrong.
You are not going to lose your job to AI.
You are going lose your job to somebody who uses AI.
Your company is not going to go out of business because of AI.
Your company is going to go out of business because another company used AI.

Re: Operation: Get Mini
Stack of chances were created for/by the forwards; so many opportunities were stuffed up by poor execution, brain fades and poor set shots. Someone took that piece of granite called Caminiti and turned into a pretty good likeness of a footballer. Finishing touches in 24. Coaches were OK. Personnel: like the curate's egg. Harris Andrews, Huston and Weitering cut outs to be used in preseason with instructions to in no circumstances kick to them.Otiman wrote: ↑Wed 27 Sep 2023 9:45am You would think Enright is going to be a head coach somewhere else soon enough. Re: Operation: Get Mini
Just need to make videos of St Kilda players and opposition players then screen them in quick random order.
Then require the mid fielders to identify friend or foe.
After a few months they might get most of them right.
Then you can try speeding it up.
Those incapable of identifying friend or foe by the end of next season get delisted.

Re: Operation: Get Mini
It's fantastic that we have Harvey, Hayes and BJ at the club but our culture needs to be driven by the playing group.
The players need to build something that is powerful and genuine. Therefore, we need more leaders to emerge.
The cohesion and synergy will follow.
It takes a selfless approach to do what's
best for the team and that will only come if
these guys truly want to be part of a premiership
team.
If they truly want St Kilda to have success they
need to care about each other and they need
to care about this footy club.
We need all participants to put egos aside
and have the club's best interests and the players' best interests being paramount above everything else.

Would’ve grabbed Mini
Pushed Harvs to Director Coaching gig - he’s not making senior coach boat has sailed
We need to keep fresh IP coming in
Missed opportunity
Mini will head to Cats be there gain
We again need to be ruthless…we aren’t

I don't get this thing about McQualter. What has he achieved??
I prefer the current coaching group.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Aiming too low. Yze is the man Richmond preferred. And giving Harvs one season with the cattle we had is surely enough. Although we did stumble into the 8 and Richmond didn't. Anyway look at that greener grass at punt road.

The Melbourne Football Club is pleased to announce that Andrew McQualter has joined the club’s AFL coaching panel for the 2024 season.
McQualter arrives at Melbourne with a wealth of coaching experience, having spent the past 10 years in various roles at Richmond.

How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

I just looked up the official AFL records and it credits Roos for the 2005 premiership, no mention of the “some” you speak of. Who are these “some”?

Re: Operation: Get Mini
Watters was the specialist coach for the vertically challenged at Collingwood, not a lot to do but complied with diversity requirements.
Got a great reference from Malthouse; one to move him on and two to stuff us right up. Ah Mick, you have done it again. It was during our particularly idiot management period.

Re: Operation: Get Mini
Watters couldn’t relate to his players. He wanted them to believe they were good enough to challenge again, but they could only hear one thing in their head. The departing words from their previous coach who they pined for….”it’s the end of an era!”Vortex wrote: ↑Mon 16 Oct 2023 3:33pmYeah it’s hard business this making sense stuff…just wondering why we never held onto coaches like Watters? he was part of premiership group wasn’t he?Teflon wrote: ↑Mon 16 Oct 2023 3:21pmBeautifully avoided as per usualVortex wrote: ↑Mon 16 Oct 2023 8:21amSome?Teflon wrote: ↑Sun 15 Oct 2023 9:51pmWasn’t Lyon involved in Swans premierships as an assistant ? The player leadership was on a collision course with Scott and there was always only going to be one outcome.
Watters didn’t understand how difficult life was for his players having to drive all the the way to Seaford. Not to mention that there were no coffee shops nearby.

Watters copped a lot for not looking players in the eyes when he spoke to them but I always felt sorry for him.Scollop wrote: ↑Mon 16 Oct 2023 6:57pmWatters couldn’t relate to his players. Just needed Mick to pat on his head.
Revolutionary thinking but. Forwards being multiple targets, paternal approach in a ruthless business, singling out players in a team game.
Name dropped Nettlefold, for goodness sake.
What did we do to deserve Watters and Nettlefold at the same time. Light weight fools.
