Re: Jade Moneybags
Seems like Jade was encouraged to look elsewhere so thanks and bye.

Re: Jade Moneybags
When it comes down to it. Butler Higgins and Gresham all playing the same role. Honestly i think there is only 1 spot available.
Eg when did 2 of the 3 fire together in a game? Let alone all 3. Doesnt happen. It is only 1 of them.
Good luck to him. With a bit more breathing room in the forward line i think he will fo well at essendon.

Re: Jade Moneybags
Zak Jones
Brad Crouch
Brad Hill
Jack Steele
Liam Stocker
Dan Butler
Dougal Howard
Zaine Cordy
Jack Higgins
Tim Membrey
Mason Wood
Tom Campbell
These are all currently listed players we've picked up from other clubs including a restricted free agent.
Were they all "moneybags"? Or does that term only apply when players leave us?

Most of them were out of favour, not just out of contract and out of POTENTIAL.Life Long Saint wrote: ↑Sat 14 Oct 2023 2:28pm Zak Jones

Gresh is a good add on $700k mid forward for a team that rates its midfield. Hence, we don't value him the same way. We certainly need more for the coin it would cost t9 keep him.
Essendon seem to be staking a bit on McKay and Gresham's potential. Goldy being the most likely to deliver, if called apon.

I think that term could accurately be attributed to Crouch, Jones, Hill & Howard with the others DFA or fringe players at their club

Disaster for the club imo.
His salary not withstanding, I have that feeling he’ll become their game day danger man and we’ll look like turkeys.

Re: Jade Moneybags
Yeah, they can roll him out in the last quarter and hope they get one out the back, only to watch him fumble it, 30 metres in the clear, run around in a few half circles, kick over his shoulder and not make the distance from 35m.SydneySainter wrote: ↑Sat 14 Oct 2023 8:37pm Disaster for the club imo.

That's OK as long as it's not against us.SydneySainter wrote: ↑Sat 14 Oct 2023 8:37pm Disaster for the club imo.

If they can get the most out of him, good luck to them.
History suggests otherwise.

Re: Jade Moneybags
I recon the chat with Lyon would have been something along the lines of...happy to have you stay Gresh but you have to take a pay cut...which is a nice way of saying you should look for opportunities elsewhwere.

Re: Jade Moneybags
meh
No more kicks 30 metres up in the air
1 goal a game
Past his best
Deplorable foot skills and was pushed out as a small by Higgins/Butler
See ya Jade

Re: Jade Moneybags
I love some of Jade's skills.
With his back to the goals, he could kick diagonally backwards (using side/bottom of the shoe) while falling down and kick a goal. It's a neat trick, and I don't see many others doing it.
When he started, he was a small forward with some midfield skills. His midfield game isn't the best, whether due to ability, skill or development.
I wish him all the best in all games except the ones against St Kilda. He didn't have a contract offer from St Kilda, so FA it was.
