Re: Keep Coffield
I certainly rate Nick Coffield. Always have but his career’s been blighted by a horrendous run of injury.
I’m not surprised he reached the view that he needs a re set at another footy club. It’s also perfectly understandable.
If he manages to have a good career with the Dogs good luck to him.

Re: Keep Coffield
The dogs obviously don’t rank him as they have only offered a future fourth round.
I think that’s an insult for a former top ten draftee who has been injured.
If he is now over the injuries he is a first 22 player.
Saints should not accept a low ball over - I would rather he go to the PSD

Future fourth rounder. Lol. They don’t rate him at all.longtimesaint wrote: ↑Sat 14 Oct 2023 11:25am The dogs obviously don’t rank him as they have only offered a future fourth round.

He’s far better off digging in at St Kilda and earning his spot back … which he will do easily if he gets any sort of luck with injury

Re: Keep Coffield
I think we should tell his manager that we won’t trade him unless we get a second rounder or equivalent.
He can stay at Saints and we would offer a new contract or else go in the PSD.

Re: Keep Coffield
Maybe they've based their offer on his performance over the last 2 years.longtimesaint wrote: ↑Sat 14 Oct 2023 11:25am The dogs obviously don’t rank him as they have only offered a future fourth round.
If we accept and he gets back to his best, Bains will be laughing his non recruiters ass off.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Re: Keep Coffield
Simple.... Accept the offer of a fourth round pick, with the swap of pick 5 and 13. And if the don't accept demand a future 2nd. Come on saints show dome balls

Make the twat go do to the draft.
Clearly we don't want him and he has no value to us.
f*** him and Footscray.

Re: Keep Coffield
I would like Nick to stay.
I really rate him as a player.
He's had bad luck with injury.
I don't want him to go to Footscray and start to bloom.

Re: Keep Coffield
Spot on. A future 4th round pick for us is useless - especially in a shallow draft. In all reality - the 4th round is rarely used these days (unless you're a northern club needing picks for points for academy kids).longtimesaint wrote: ↑Sat 14 Oct 2023 11:25am The dogs obviously don’t rank him as they have only offered a future fourth round.

MIght as well make Nick go to WCE or North if he's that keen on leaving.

Bains is lower than a snake.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Keep Coffield
I don't normally watch too many games where St Kilda isn't playing but, when I do, I like to follow the ex-Sainters and hope they do well (that's the only thing that interests me in other games).
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!
