I think Essendon want to keep Shiel. That’s fine I don’t want him. But if we get compo for Gresham than let’s try and use two first rounders (ours and Gresham compo) and try and get Geelongs lick 7.

Freo list boss said to AFL Trade Radio that Saints and Dockers are a fair way off Liam Henry.
'Won't be happening any time soon'

SOS said he gets on well with Dockers List boss and thinks we could strike a fair deal, but we'll see

Tell them to get stuffed. Let him walk to the preseason draft

Its day 1 a lot of tough talking to happen . Remember this time last year Freo wasn't trading Lobb - bet they are glad they did now

From afl.com.au

SAINT SET FOR NEW DEAL

ST KILDA midfielder Hunter Clark is expected to stay at the Saints on a two-year deal despite remaining unsigned in the Trade Period.

Clark has been offered a deal through to the end of 2025, with the view he is heading towards re-signing at the Saints.

The 24-year-old played 19 games for the Saints this season under coach Ross Lyon after having interest from North Melbourne in last year's Trade Period.

Another two years would take Clark through to free agency, having been a top-10 pick at the 2017 draft. The courageous midfielder has played 87 games across his career.

Dockers want picks for next year in case they need to bank some draft capital to secure Logan the bogan (WA boy)

My mate's brother in law works at Arden St. he said on Tuesday night at dinner the brother in law got a call from "Trotter" asking if he had "Will's email" because the one he had has bouncing back. Supposedly there was some SSL issue and they'd had problems all day.

My mate is a mad Port fan so he's assumed Will is referring to Roos national recruiter & Trotter is Howards manager. He's made it bigger than Ben Hur, he thinks Howard is the messiah.

I know nothing obviously but it was interesting.

I havent heard Howard going anywhere??

f*** North Melbourne. They should be called North Launceston. Why do they bother playing in Tasmania if they don't want to relocate there?

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Howard is better than Ben MacKay so Norf the charity case can give us their pick 2 if they want him.

As per usual, saints doing nothing at trade time and other clubs getting deals done left right & centre.

Swans. Proactive, getting s*** done….and on the cheap as well.

Came to say the same thing.

Roos, Sydney and Melbourne all busy.

Sick of us dealing with fuckheads of football clubs in Dorodorro for Essendon and Freo list managers inflating their position.

We got excited in 2019 about recruiting Ryder, Hill, Howard, Zak Jones and Dan Butler. 1 former All Australian and 2 former premiership players.

The Swans just trumped us. 2 former All Australians and 2 former premiership players.... without giving up the farm for any one!!

IN: Taylor Adams, Brodie Grundy, Joel Hamling, James Jordon, future end-of-first-round pick, pick 44

OUT: Dylan Stephens, pick 25, pick 33, pick 46, future second round pick

They also made a play for Aaron Naughton but the Dogs knocked it back.

Kinnear Beatson is one of the best in the business. He was with Brisbane during their 3peat as well so has a lifetime of experience

I've always envied them as far as what they've achieved over the years with trades and drafting. Going back all the way to the Buddy Franklin trade plus... I hate them for stealing Plugger as well

They have done really well. Thanks for the insight Scollop. Have they still managed to keep their first round draft pick?

There’s a week left.

The impatience of fans during the trade period is bemusing.
