At a time like this....

Post: # 2033181Post thejiggingsaint »

... at season's end, when the losers ribbons are taken off the Premiership cup for another year. When the mighty Melbourne Cricket Ground cleans away the empty beer cups and chip paper. When the pundits and "experts" take season 2023 apart and dissect it...... I'm thinking of Tim Membrey. I'm hoping that he and his family are coping with the stress that clearly has impacted upon them of late. So, as we bid another season "adieu", may I (via this fan forum) publicly thank Tim for his efforts for our club, and wish him and his family well in the coming months!!!

I'm out of the loop. What's the latest on the sad situation? The subtext here seems to be that he won't be returning to football.

Why wouldn’t he be back? Sh*t happens. Hopefully he get himself fit and goes around again. Still has much to offer.

Beautifully put Jigster.

Now, let the silly season of speculation begin.

Yes ‘our, one and only’, “ The “ Fireman. Or, affectionately known as ‘Firey’ by a chosen few !!

Cheech
Where that smoke coming from, man
Chong
The fire, man.

Incidentally:
Hope Tim can now smile at pitifully weak jokes and is getting OK. Time and care heal.

Even if he doesn’t make it back into the team , he will no doubt learn more from this to put to good use for the rest of his life . Footy isn’t everything it’s a small part of it . You can still be a valuable member of the team like Tony educating the new guys on how to go about it
