After the Charlie Cameron goal which put Brisbane in front late in the last quarter...Did Collingwood exploit the rules to favour their ruckman and their mids?

Brisbane were in front at the 21 minute mark when the ball went into the middle and Collingwood infringed with the 6-6-6 rule.

That means they only get a warning BUT more importantly, the ball isn't bounced. It's thrown straight up ('jump ball' style) which suited the tallest bloke on the ground....

...who used to play basketball.

The DeGoey goal put Collingwood back in front and settled the nerves of the Collingwood players.

Then of course Berry stuffed up and Sidebottom kicked a Lenny Hayes style ridiculous goal

Going by your theory who has been pencilled in by the AFL to win the 2024 flag? Pies have been appeased, but maybe two in a row is warranted? Last 10 years, only one interstate team has won, so maybe Bris or Sydney? Interested in your thoughts.

I actually would like Collingwood to win.
I have never had a problem with the club, I don't have the hatred for them that I do for Carlton, Essendon or Geelong.
Their supporters have a record of being a bit uncultured perhaps but the majority are good natured with a bit of a fatalistic streak somewhat like St Kilda supporters.
I also can't support Brisbane because they are not a real team, they are in Queensland and no one up there cares.
They also have no players that I can warm up to unlike the GWS, another fake team, who at least have Toby Green.

I was watching the GF in a "Magpie Household" I enjoyed every minute of the game, and was SO happy to see Collingwood triumph in a hard-fought game!!

Most of have about 30 people on average that we call friends not including family and a handful of those are close friends..this demographic is not a constant ,maybe when you consider someone like say….vortex?
Unfortunately some of the above are skunk supporters but they know how much I despise Collingwood..they don’t really care but I,m here to say the hate is real and bordering on fanatical.
Those days at vic park are something you just can’t forget, the incessant Collingwood dominance in the media over the years and that hoard of apocalyptic feral zombies growing by the minute…oh and eddy …. Their famous cheer squad leader was the face of Collingwood and in my mind still is.

A Collingwood flag to me taints the afl. Yet this is where they get their money and probably at the expense of some mouths to feed.

The day the ball bounced wrongly for Milne haunts me to this day.
You can stick Collingwood where the sun don’t shine

I have to admit to just the slightest feelings of repulsion/disgust when I saw Luke Ball sitting on the panel of "Offsiders" this morning, grinning like a Cheshire cat at the Magpies Flag victory. To hear him gushing on about "Pendles" and "Steele" almost made me spew up! (I hasten to add here that I do NOT hold any animosity toward those fine players) To think that WE had him here for EIGHT seasons and He now considers himself a "Collingwood person" (even to the extent of being on the selection panel that appointed Craig McCrae!) Makes me wonder just WHAT the hell went on between him and the club in 2009-2010?????!!!

My Grandson has followed his dad in supporting Collingwood (God help him ) However, he loves coming to Saints games with me, and wears Saints colours, and barracks as loudly as me for the red-white-and-black! I try, in my own quiet way to lead him from "the dark side" But yesterday, sitting watching that game, I was barracking with him for the Pies!!

Doesn't make me love my club any less! Just returning the favour to my lovely grandson!!

WOW! Scollop, my dear fellow Saintster and colleague, you've a gift for understatement! Ball, for almost eight-nine years was clearly a vital part of the squad along with Dal, BJ, Roo, Lenny, Joey, Kosi, and within a (relatively) short space of time he wanted OUT!
