AFLW Sainters are BIT
Great win against the Doggies tonight at the Whitten Oval. The girls have a very winnable game against Hawthorn next weekend. Couldn’t help notice that Grace Kelly plays down back for us. A finals REAR WINDOW has suddenly opened for Dal’s chargers!

Re: AFLW Sainters are BIT
The team kept up the excellent form from the last quarter last week. Really starting to play well as a team.
Our tackling is ferocious. Our captain Hannah Priest led the way.
Patrikios another fabulous game on the wing. Wardlaw now really finding her feet , with three goals and strong ruckwork.
Saints scored the first three goals, then Dogs had a run of five goals, but the girls dug in , steadied and dominated the rest of the game to win 8.6 to 6.0
Yes the Dogs are winless, and I expect we are off the pace of the top teams like Melbourne , but Dal now has the team playing a much better brand of footy.

We played that last quarter to perfection, great coaching. Didn't diminish the way we want to play, but were able to slow the tempo whenever the chance arose and make it a contested scrap,.bobmurray wrote: ↑Fri 29 Sep 2023 11:50pm I didn't realise watching it that neither team scored in the last quarter.

Nat Exxon is still our best player.
Patrikios and Xenos our most creative.
And Wardlaw... a star and a welcome addition. (I'd have loved to have held onto G-Train, though, have them both in the F50).

Re: AFLW Sainters are BIT
I loved the entries into F50 - not everyone thought they had to do it themselves - so no long bombing - BUT the thing about that which was noticeable was that the Forwards LED to free space - and the kicker had confidence to kick it there.

Re: AFLW Sainters are BIT
Great win to the girls, overcame the homecoming hype of the Bulldogs. Such a turnaround from Q3 last week when we left as we were so frustrated with the state of play. The best game I have seen our AFLW women play. Tackling was superb, smooth transitioning and holding marks. Bravo to our captain Priesty in the way she lead and glad to see Wardlaw live up to her promise and of course three cheers to Dal and welcome back Georgia, where have you been.
