Sensational win
5 goal last quarter to come from 20 down at 3/4 time
Pies had no inside 50s in the last
Best win at Moorabbin since 19?

Incredible win, they looked like a team in that last quarter.
Hopefully this will be a beginning of some success.

Re: Our AFLW team just beat the Filth
Had a look
Strong breeze to come home with
Game is severely over coached, to the point they struggle to move the footy. It’s in part to do with skill, also partly due to the congestion caused by the coaches putting extra numbers around the contest. They squeeze the ground and because of that, there isn’t any flow.
If teams held their forwards, and lengthened the ground and gave space, they might be able to move the footy better! And score!
At one stage when the ball was in StKs backline- the was not a StK player forward of centre, maybe even HB
And there was 3 Collingwood defenders lined up on their own across the centre
HTF are you supposed to score in that situation? Let the girls play a bit and hold the forwards! It might mean you lose by more?… but you will score more, and maybe even win?!
Other observations
Wardlaw is a ruckman, not a forward - she looks like a rugby player playing footy - she’s a good athlete.
Lambert is a proper footballer - great skill
Patrikios is a talented outside player
a few other good players, but the list is a bit of a mess

Congratulations girls. I got 'a bit distracted' after half time but later heard them singing the song in the background so went back and watched the last half. Well done.

Good on them. Unfortunately I didn't watch it.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Our AFLW team just beat the Filth
Wonderful win. For the majority of the match the skills were very poor. The effort from all the girls was fantastic, but they could not string possessions together. However they hung in and managed to scramble a goal late in the third to draw within 20 points. Then in the last quarter, with the wind and the crowd behind them , it all clicked.
BM is right - Jessie Wardlaw was wholly ineffective at full forward but absolutely dominated when swung into the ruck.
Georgia Patrikios had been strangely quiet , but kicked a beauty in the last and had it on a string.
The tackles stuck . To be fair, the umpires rewarded those tackles. Everyone lifted. They kicked straight, and finally looked like a good footy team. Let’s hope they can kick on .
Again agreeing with BM, Jaimee Lambert is a very very good - and very smart - footballer.

Re: Our AFLW team just beat the Filth
I did the same a couple of minutes into the Mother's Day Massacre match at the SCG in 2004, turned it off when we were 50+ points behind. I turned the tv back on nearly 30 minutes later to see the final score, hoping we made it look respectable, only to see Plugger lining up for goal, and the commentator, I think it was Healy, laughing. Then he said, "they're going to win this by a point!" I saw Lockett kick the goal, 'salute' the crowd', and then the camera panned to Stan in the coach's box yelling into his phone. LOL!
And therein lies today's lesson.

I was at that match. Some jerkoff sitting behind me was giving me heaps , When the final siren sounded I told the clown that every dog has his day. He got offended and wanted to call the police and informed me that he was a barrister. 'snap" but I laughed at him instead and followed my quickly departing missus and kids out of the ground.
On the way out I hugged a more that slightly drunk Molly Meldrum.
