Any moron on here that cheered we don’t get him, give yourself an uppercut. You know nothing about football.

Re: DeGoey
Would we...could we??... make another Hannebery style trade in a few years time when Collingwood are on the slide...
Collingwood will struggle to maintain this momentum with many of their guns in their 30's. Pendlebury is closer to 40 than 30 next year. Howe is 34 and Cox 33
Sidebottom 33, Taylor Adams and Tom Mitchell are both 31 next year... and Crisp is 30.
I think they'll finish outside the top 8 in 2025. DeGoey's manager will hit up the Saints during the year... Collingwood will look to fast track their rebuild... let's hope we don't go looking for a 29/30 year old saviour (who's broken and half cooked).
He was nearly over the line last year but while Collingwood had stability...we had our former captain and legend of the club calling for the St Kilda coach to be replaced in June while the team on field was sitting in top 4 position

Re: DeGoey
Lauding a Collingwood player on here is demeaning. If you are unfortunate enough to admire them go barrack for them. Pies are scum that have the umpires and AFL shitting themselves.

If we had got him he probably headbutts an umpire or goes on a road trip with Sam Fisher!

Football brain = genius
Everyday life brain = doofus
Outstanding game tonight just snuck the Maggots into the Grand Final.
I remember everybody saying the lack of coffee shops around Seaford was a turn-off for players. I don't know how many tattoo parlours are near our Moorabbin ground but there'd need to be a dozen or more to cater for De Goey's needs.

Re: DeGoey
In another team's jersey, he found his fame. Our recruiters' loss, to our eternal shame.
He was there for us to draft. His x factor was obvious - power, speed, skill - but our recruiters knew better, of course.

Re: DeGoey
I m not sure we had the right environment to get him on the straight and narrow had we drafted him he may well not still be around by now.. Apparantly he was fairly serious about us last year if he came over would have been great.

Re: DeGoey
We should simplify the recruiting process for our recruiters, foolproof it and dumb it down for them ... have 3 boxes for them to tick, with the headers "skill," "speed" and "power."
If any draftee ticks all the 3 boxes, you recruit them - simple as that.
Same applies for recruiting/trading of established players. Simple as 1, 2, 3 (age and whether they complement our list must also be considered here, of course).
Call it the simple prescription for success - the DeGoey rule (to memorialise our stupidity).
Our recruiters sure know how to complicate the simple.

Re: DeGoey
He played well. His pace in foot races to get to contests was especially noteworthy. But he wasn't the player who cost GWS the game. That was Lachie Ash (no.7). Last week, I can remember thinking that you can't have someone like him on the backline - he gives the ball away with poor disposal or poor decision making. And so it happened. In the third quarter, with GWS three goals in front, after the first of the quarter, they had Collingwood on the mat. Then, on a forward move with numbers out of the backline, Ash kicked it straight to Collingwood. They goaled and got four more for the quarter.

He was a star and stars deserve to glow while in public and to be able to sit at a trendy coffee shop and show off those fine sunglasses
Our beloved leader was very good with the paparazzi too. They loved to take his photo but they frequented coffee shops closer in to town

Yes he can play.
No...we dont need his sh1te at St Kilda...our own history shows we can produce AAA assholes/sexual deviants/addicts/violent crims... without importing them.
