Rod Owen update

Just to let those who care , I had Rod Owen come in to the pub that I work in today he had me make him a soy lettie which blew my mind lol .He's been booze free nearly six years (welldone) I asked him about since its 150th did he have any past player stuff this season? The answer was a sharp no! Not a fan of the current board , He said now's not the time for that to come out,but it will came out one day.my thoughts are that he looked fit, hopefully those inner demons are in a good place even as a 52yr old I still acted like a fan boy lol

Very hard to pass any judgement on the current Board and Administration, based on a short conversation with a disgruntled ex player.

What is beyond doubt is that the treatment of Rod as a young man was horrific and heartbreaking and I was pleased to read he was alcohol free for six years and looked fit.

For all my years following the Saints I still think Rod was the biggest unfulfilled talent I have seen at the club.

Such a shame he endured so much pain and mental turmoil.

I Played a lot of junior footy with him - he was a very nice and super polite kid - and an Absolute champion on the field.

If not for a set of circumstances outside his control - he would have been an absolute champion of the club

He was a young boy badly mismanaged by the club - in some ways a sign of the times and in other ways just very short sighted and stupid behavior from those at the club

The estrogen in soy milk isn't processed by our bodies like normal estrogen.
