They've worked their asses off on culture building.
They've worked their asses off marketing and building a brand.
They've consistently recruited and traded like clever bastards.
I don't think we will ever see a significant decline until coach & management leave en masse....which I can't see myself.
But purely on the list...they look like a top 8 team. Maybe not #1 but who knows?

Re: What is your ladder for 2023?
I listened to Steve Hocking in a recent interview describe the secret to their SUSTAINED success, it didnt exactly sound like a complex system of formulae and algorithms expertly number crunched by scientists, so I was able to understand what he was saying somewhat. Without revealing the 11 secret herbs and spices he said they essentially do the opposite of what the perennial bottom 8 sides do....that's us.SAINT-LEE wrote: ↑Thu 01 Dec 2022 3:17amIt's not impossible...but improbable.asiu wrote: ↑Mon 28 Nov 2022 4:14pmyes

I love it. It's cool to see the diverse thinking.

I love Vortex and Sunny Earnest. Where is he? I am full of love. It’s the summer of love 1967 San Francisco, 1989 Manchester, 2022/3 St Kilda (except some dodgy cricket nets)
And it’s 5 degrees where I am tonight..nevermind.

Wow, that was a very good prediction.
I had Carlton & GWS missing finals
But picked Brisbane as premier.

Re: What is your ladder for 2023?
Well done Beno
Not only on predicting the teams to miss, but also the teams to make it. Adelaide were robbed twice by the wrong call by umpires (once against Collingwood in the dying seconds, and once late in the year with the wrong call by the goal umpire against Sydney),
Personally, I had Richmond and Geelong missing the top 8. I was confident on those after about round 7/8, but your prediction from late last year was outstanding.
Interesting also, that all 3 clubs (Richmond, Bulldogs and Geelong) have already tasted success. Goes to show that teams (and individual players) who have climbed the mountain and already have premiership medals don’t always have the same drive and hunger as others.
So…looking at this week…we have 4 teams hungry for a flag. There’s quite a few players who have actually played in a Grand Final - GWS and Collingwood in 2018 and 2019. There’s only 2 players, that I know of who have been premiership players (Sidebottom and Pendlebury from 2010)…sorry …not a good memory for us
For all 4 head coaches in 2023, it will be the first time they’re coaching in a Grand Final. Fagan is the most experienced of the senior coaches. I think Brisbane will go on and win the flag this year

No. I never open video links on this or any other site.
Why I should be grateful?
You might care to explain .//

Re: What is your ladder for 2023?
Its a link to a song about there never being a Saint Kilda. Hence, I was offering a hilarious confirmation of your comment that there's no Saint Kilda.
Also, I know youre aware that virus protection helps...but some are so superior only actual targeted intrusions by a proper hacker will get you.
With a premium virus protection you will eliminate 99.9% of issues opening links that may contain virus, trojans, keystrokers, etc
Ive used many and have found Bitdefender Total Security best ( in my price range). We have a family plan with 15 devices active & 9 users. Not one of us ever have had any issues for 7 years.
I used Vipre Black for 5 yrs but its a secure software and purchased with security clearance I no longer have, the standard Vipre is quite good but not as good as Bitdefender. Vipre Black was very expensive but soooo insanely good.
Highly recommend if you can get access invite & spending $129 a month is ok
