Do we look at Chol and Hollands from GC
Chol would be handy as a forward to help out king and Sharman with Membery maybe playing more as a high half forward.
Chol also can ruck and even play as a KD which he has been doing in the GC seconds.
Hollands would be also a good pick up at 21 and only 12 games at GC with there very strong midfield he can not brake in to.
Both these players are up for grabs and Chol still has 2 years on contract so some would have to be paid by GC.
I know we also have caminiti but we need more then 1 player in each position that was not more evident then this year.

I like Chol, has enormous potential, however I reckon Hardwick may want to keep him.

chol wonts out of GC he was under Hardwick at Richmond and hardly played reason why he went to GC I here he is desperate to get out so would get him cheap if that's the case why not.

Right, didn't know he wanted out. We should definitely have a look at him.Saints58 wrote: ↑Tue 12 Sep 2023 11:00amThe G Train Legacy wrote: ↑Tue 12 Sep 2023 10:16am I like Chol, has enormous potential, however I reckon Hardwick may want to keep him.

Hollands is a good size and talented. Sort of what we need. Yes.
If Hardwick doesn't rate Chol why? Or was he surplus to requirements in the Richmond defence. Handy under a good defense coach, you'd think, compliment Howard/Wilkie/Battle.

Richmond had a fair bit more depth than GC to be fair. I imagine Hardwick will let Chol if he’s a required player. If not, he’ll look elsewhere. Not sure if he’s what we want though.Saints58 wrote: ↑Tue 12 Sep 2023 11:00amThe G Train Legacy wrote: ↑Tue 12 Sep 2023 10:16am I like Chol, has enormous potential, however I reckon Hardwick may want to keep him.

I’ll look past Chol and Hollands and look at Hugo Ralphsmith. Bayside boy, got pace to burn, kicks goals, played out of position at Richmond. He’s a mid. 21 years old. Get him for nothing. get Henry for nothing. Use pick 12 to land Darcy Wilson who is a two way running Dal Santo type or best available. Nail the other 3 picks and now we are cooking.

Re: Do we look at Chol and Hollands from GC
Need to ask 3 questions:
1. Do they improve our best 18? Not interested in depth or bench players.
2. Are they going to block upcoming talent from development opportunities?
3. What do they cost? Cap and trade value.

Re: Do we look at Chol and Hollands from GC
Chol is talented and extremely athletically gifted.
The knock on him at GCS is a total lack of physicality.
Not sure what the deal with Hollands is, have watched him in the VFL and he cuts it up, looks a real player. Worth a later pic IMO, definitely better than Bytel & Connelly and can run which seems to suit Ross’ style.
Hugo has always been a very good runner since his junior Aths days at Sandringham. My concerns with Hugo are upside, he entered the system extremely fit and professional, skills aren’t great but huge heart. Not sure where he’d play or if he’d be best 22.

I’m a big fan of Chol with the challenge being where would he fit into this team. Effectively would take Hayes role.
Decent ruck. Great leap

Don't need Dow. He's too slow plus he's re-signed with Carltoon for another 2 years. Why bring in more of the same s***.

He wants to play at a club in the firsts regularly. I doubt that Lyon would guarantee that.

Where is that reported that he has re-signed?magnifisaint wrote: ↑Tue 12 Sep 2023 2:49pm Don't need Dow. He's too slow plus he's re-signed with Carltoon for another 2 years. .
I just had a look at the various footy forums and afl.com.au etc and cannot see that mentioned anywhere.

All we need is quality mids .
The forwards we have will look so much better if the ball is hitting them on the chest

My memory is that he’s been offered 2 years. I haven’t read that he’s signed though I may have missed itmr six o'clock wrote: ↑Tue 12 Sep 2023 3:51pm All we need is quality mids .

Most coaches will tell you it's best 25 to win a flag, mostly As and Bs, and no more than 4 C graders, then a few fringe and depth under that.
