"Corns are thick, hard areas of skin on the feet. Though similar to calluses, they are usually smaller, harder, and more painful. The body develops corns to protect against constant rubbing and friction."
Aptly named and should be treated similarly, until they disappear.

Now Bedford's playing KC will need to revise his predicted margin, to say 43 points.

Re: Who will win and why Gws vs SAINTS
GWS is favoured to win both with the bookies and a majority of 'experts' in the papers.
That's obvioulsly based on their overall stronger list of players compared to St Kilda.
One commentator remarked that there is little difference between the two sides but St Kilda have a far more experienced coach in Ross Lyon and felt this would see the Saints come out on top.
In front of a very loud partisan crowd I predict St Kilda to win by 15, but they will need to be quick out of the blocks and kick straight.

Re: Who will win and why Gws vs SAINTS
I think we win
But can understand the punters backing GWS
Can’t we all?
St Kilda had a soft fixture and beat lowly sides, and sometimes just.
Would be correct if I said StKilda has not beaten a top 8 side all season, in so far as, they were not top 8 when we beat them?
Edit: think Essendon were top 8 when we won the 150th game very early in the seaisn

Re: Who will win and why Gws vs SAINTS
We've won the last 4 games against GWS, three of those away from home.
Fair to say that we match up pretty well on them.
The "experts" talk about their form. They smashed a disinterested Essendon and beat Carlton who put the cue in the rack after Curnow sealed the Coleman.
Before that, they lost to Sydney and were smased by Port by almost nine goals.
They've played 3 games in Melbourne for a 2-1 record...The one being the afore mentioned game v Carlton.
They did beat Geelong in Geelong, but they weren't the same team this year.
Their one game at the 'G was an 11 goal loss to Collingwood.
I very much like our chances.
We had 27 scoring shots to 20 last time we met.
We were +10 inside 50's, +15 in contested possessions, +40 in uncontested possessions, and a whopping +51 in marks.
We also have a better forward structure with King and Membrey together than we did last time. (It was King's first game of the season).

Re: Who will win and why Gws vs SAINTS
The heavy MCG track is a concern, will we have enough grunt and speed to go with their midfield.
And Hogan has hit scintillating form and he has incredible endurance and speed which on the MCG could worry Cordz a little which is why I would have Doogs in the side as well as Cordy because then you can throw Cordz up the ground to give RoMa a chop out in the ruck as RoMa is going to find the going tough on a heavy MCG for the whole game. Taking Sharman into this game is a mistake, I would have had Doogs as the sub and Byrnes starting.

Re: Who will win and why Gws vs SAINTS
I agree Vort, but the ground ball in F50 is probably more important looking at the first two finals.
I expect a late change if the day is dry with no risk of rain.

Re: Who will win and why Gws vs SAINTS
definitely going to be physical around the stoppages, very similar games styles with transitioning and attacking from the stoppages, expecting a low scoring slug fest for much of the first half, hopefully we don't tire similar to how we did against the sides with strong midfields late in the season like our games against Carlton and Lions which is where I'm guessing GWS think they will get us. We desperately need the midfield to play out of their skins and for Sebby to come in and be good for 120 mins. A big ask, and then there are the tiring youngsters, looking forward to seeing how Mitch goes in the the heat of a final...at the MCG no less. Him and Pou needed the the rest more than most.
Today's game is the only sample size we need to see where we are at. So looking forward to this one. Bring it!!

Yeah I don't think Otiman was thinking Members out was the late change.

Re: Who will win and why Gws vs SAINTS
I’d be surprised if they don’t bring in Sharmans brother
You can never have enough Sharmanator endurance, good foot skills and lead up forward abilities on the wide G expanse’s
Should be thrilled Vort
Game will be won/lost in midfield btw - if we can’t break even, put pressure on them up ground before ball comes into their 50 then Green will kick 7

Re: Who will win and why Gws vs SAINTS
If we have clean entries and efficient kicking for goal
Our defensive and contested game is on
We can keep our structure and organisation together
Sinclair, Hill and Wood have good games on the wide G
We can exploit Lenny’s inside knowledge on GWS players
Will all really all go a long way towards winning

Re: Who will win and why Gws vs SAINTS
have to win the midfield for 4 quarters, the 2nd half is when they will think they can get on top, think it will be a grind for a half and open up for one team in the 2nd.Teflon wrote: ↑Sat 09 Sep 2023 2:10pmI’d be surprised if they don’t bring in Sharmans brother

Really looking forward to seeing how all the young players find the heat of a final...especially Coops, needs to do better than his game against the Lions which was a shocker.
But every player starts on a level pegging today.
Feel for Members, hope whatever has kept him out is short term.

Max King needs to be off loaded whilst he still has AFL currency. Dropped marks are one thing, but you can't have a player who just stands there and watches his opponent run down the ground. If he's not fit - get him off.

Yes like I said, just pathetic. Might send your Avatar to Ratten’s solicitors. The mods will hand you over in an instant. Might cost you some dollars. So you can just EAD.
