Re: Bye bye Maynard
This will be interesting, what just will Michael Christian do?
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Re: Bye bye Maynard
I agree that he's a dog but does not deserve any time off for that, regardless of how much time I wish he could get.

Doesn't matter what Christian does, the appeals dudes will crumble and let him play in Carringbush's next game.happy feet wrote: ↑Thu 07 Sep 2023 9:38pm This will be interesting, what just will Michael Christian do?
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

I think Jacob Van Elbows is gone, no amount of bulldust will get him off this time.

I love the commentary trying to say it was a football act and he had no option.

Re: Bye bye Maynard
What's a football act. Meaningless. Elite athlete leaves ground full pace with objective of hurting. Could have mitigated but didn't. Football act my arse. Thug. Shoulder into head. Oops. Pull the other one.

Knew exactly what he was doing
I’d take another look if I were you
They’ll get him off
I guarantee you if it was a Saints player - 3 weeks no problems

Re: Bye bye Maynard
If Maynard gets suspended for that the game should become non contact.
If he wanted to clean up Brayshaw he could have ran straight at him.
The fact he jumped showed his intent was to smother.
Very soft if he is rubbed out for that.

Re: Bye bye Maynard
Definitely a thug, look at his disguised head butt on Viney, scraped his battered bonce off Viney's face trying to inflict damage, belongs in MMA, not the AFL.

He knew exactly what he was doing. Has to go he chose to bump and did.
Imagine every bloke kicking the ball getting taken out front on like that.

Big Maynard fan.
Wish we had him in our side.
Plays hard aggressive football- not dirty and not a thug.

Re: Bye bye Maynard
Footy act is not a valid argument. A tackle is as footy as it gets, and we've seen countless players rubbed out.
He'll get off. Plenty of others during the H+A would not have. That's the problem

That would also be illegal in MMA
