Re: Dougal out on Sat. etc RL Video
Possession (apparently) is 9 tenths of the selection policy. Until it isn't.

Lyon’s selection policy has always been that if a player does what he asks then to do, and gives 100%, they keep their spot.Ghost Like wrote: ↑Thu 07 Sep 2023 5:26pm Possession (apparently) is 9 tenths of the selection policy. Until it isn't.
In general it’s a good policy, but it can be criticised for sometimes favouring hard workers over the naturally more talented who, if selected, might be capable of giving the team a boost.
But Lyon clearly gets most things right most of the time. I was a bit sceptical as to how ready Howard truly was. We might have been foxing a bit.

I see them as fairly equal to be honest with Cordy playing a more disciplined, low risk role. He's very Harry Callaghan, a man who knows his limitations. I am not sure Howard does.
The DE% is really an illusion if a kick to a 50/50 contest is deemed efficient, Howard adds pressure rather than releasing it. Just give me a defender who can defend, we have NWM, Sinclair & Stocker for the disposal side of real transition.

Oh well...There goes the usual whipping boy.
Who do we think will take his place as the scapegoats if we lose?

Webster, IF Greene kicks a bag.
Standby for incoming whirlpool.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Re: Dougal out: Video & Team
Cordy gets Hogan because I think Zaine can play on the last line better than Battle.
I'm hoping Wilkie takes Toby Greene when Toby plays forward.
Battle gets Riccardi. Riccardi is 100 kegs and nearly 2m tall. If Riccardi is getting targetted by GWS mids and he gets on the scoreboard, then we may have to move Cordy onto him.
If Webster gets the job on Toby Greene, that allows Wilkie to go to Hogan or Brown. Let's hope Webster plays a huge game for his 150th.
Brown is named on the bench, but I reckon GWS will start all 3 on the ground. NWM will need to watch this guy. He's a seriously strong unit. He didn't play when we beat them in Round 10.
We've had a good run this year when playing against twin towers. Hopefully our mids get the job done and GWS don't get clean inside 50 entries.
It'll be ironic if they're tall forwards get hold of us and we have Dougs sitting on the sidelines.

I like Ross as he's got heavy scarring and seems to enjoy the flogging.

Rubbish way of thinking.
Re: Dougal out: Video & Team
Really? Lol
How many games has hogan ripped apart in his carrer let alone this season? And btw if hogan does have a day out which is highly unlikely,it will be because we couldn't stop the supply, thats why stocker has been omitted and we are playing an extra onballer ,as stated by other posters on here.
GO SAINTS!!!!
