What would you give up for Bailey Smith?
Given the WB got two 1st round picks for Dunkley, they'd want a kings ransom for Smith, even though not as valuable as Dunkley.
What would you trade?
- Our first rounder?
- Our first and second rounder
- Howard and our first rounder
- Howard and our second rounder
- Our second rounder and what we get for Howard in a trade?
- Not interested
- Something else?
He's a hard runner and hard at it so would suit RTB's game style.
Personally I think he very good, but overrated as a player based on his off field profile.

If I was going to give up a king’s ransom, I’d give it up for Flanders, Noah Anderson, Caleb Serong and at least a dozen players ahead of Smith.
A fresh start might do him good but as BM has implied… he’s an unknown risk because it’s unclear where his psyche is at. He could get it together like DeGoey or be another Lovett. Given that our first pick will be 10’ish at the lowest… at absolute most, I might offer that but I’m not super thrilled at the prospect

A first round pick. Nothing more for the reasons listed.

Not worth what he would cost.D.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Wed 30 Aug 2023 8:17pm Given the WB got two 1st round picks for Dunkley, they'd want a kings ransom for Smith, even though not as valuable as Dunkley.

All of that said… he’s 22yo and looking like he could be an absolute elite mid of the comp. Would easily be say a huge upgrade on Byrnes.
The ??? make him one of the few potential elites that might be affordable

Vortex & B.M
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Josh Bruce, Jack Newnes and Jack Steven. He can chose his own number, have his own dressing room, stylist and make up person. Need to convince Bails red white and black goes better with his eyes than red white and blue - the actual colour of his eyes, tough sell.

I'd love to have him. He'd fill a huge role in our future.
I think he'll get over his psychological problems
Maybe a fresh start with another club would help. (if it wouldn't then I'd be amazed if he left WBs)

Like Billings he was an early developer but has a restricted ceiling and wont get much better. Will never a be 30+ possession average player and doesn't kick enough goals to be damaging
Relied on skill and athleticism. Too expensive at a first rounder pick and wont be in a hurry to take a pay cut and will want 3-5 years, which is apparently the problem atthe Bulldogs. That and their party culture. This kid was supposed to be the ultimate professional when drafted.

An eight ball should get the job done.
And a premium Twitter account as the sweetener.
That's about it.

Drugs and an assurance he does. Unlikely, so zip.
How many strikes do we think he's on OR does self reporting still give you a pass?
