Final V GWS Friday night (Sportsbet said) but now Saturday 3.20pm
Friday night, but with the roof "open", but 14 day forecast has it a clear night. ATM, we are favourites with the bookies.

Re: Final V GWS Friday night
Fox just said Saturday twilight? And venue still TBC?
Not sure Marvel or the G will make too much difference.
Toby Greene looms as the difference, how can we stop him?

Love the input - really contributes .......
If there was a punch to the groin (and not a tackle) then based on Miller's experience he will need to be suspended and probably for a couple for the Toby tax.

Did you watch that game and really think that Toby Greene deserves to be suspended for that? Because that is what Curly is sayingSainter_Dad wrote: ↑Sun 27 Aug 2023 10:30pmLove the input - really contributes .......

He needs to come with something serious and not just conspiracies/whinging/sooking/crying/playing the victim etc.

Punched him and McGovern was in discomfort lying in the ground. Intentional punch.amusingname wrote: ↑Sun 27 Aug 2023 10:35pmDid you watch that game and really think that Toby Greene deserves to be suspended for that? So you would be fine with Mitch Owens being suspended for that?CURLY wrote: ↑Sun 27 Aug 2023 10:39pmPunched him and McGovern was in discomfort lying in the ground. Re: Final V GWS Friday night (Sportsbet said) but now Saturday twilight
Still no official announcement from the AFL on Finals that I can see. My guess is that they were going to be announced via Sportsbet but the new GM had other ideas.

Who feels confident regarding a win?
We beat them in round 10 in Sydney…
Sinclair had 37 touches
NWM, Marshall, Steele, Stocker and Wood our best
King kicked 4, Higgins 3 and pairs to Butler, Sinclair
Whitfield, Green and Conglio the best for the home team

Re: Final V GWS Friday night (Sportsbet said) but now Saturday twilight
I feel more confident in beating GWS than the Swans, that's for sure. We've won 4 of our last 5 against GWS.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

You would have to think that we are better than we were in Round 10. But it also seems that they might be as well. If we play like we did against Brisbane, we will win.

If we play our best we have a good chance of winning but it won't be a walk in the park.perfectionist wrote: ↑Sun 27 Aug 2023 10:58pmYou would have to think that we are better than we were in Round 10. According to Jon Ralph all the details for the first week of finals will be announced on Monday 28th August.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

.. and if we do manage to beat GWS .. who do play the following week? .. the loser or Bris vs Port at their dung heap or the loser of Collingwood vs Melbourne at the MCG?

Re: Final V GWS Friday night
If GWS was playing any other team in a final the Toby-tax would apply and he would cop a week.CURLY wrote: ↑Sun 27 Aug 2023 10:52pm
It was as obvious as you’ll see.
The Toby-tax will not apply, however, because they are playing St Kilda.
