We’ve certainly come back alive the last few weeks after a long stretch of mediocrity.

Yep the detractors have the luxury of saying stuff like that but what it means is a lack of potential recognition

Re: Ross Lyon Haters???
Geeez I’m proud of Coops tonight. Faded after injury but he kicked two critical goals when it mattered and held back on a mark for Max who goaled.
Had a few depth touches and taps that set up goals too. Great performance by him. Really happy

Amazing when you get key players back what happens.
Ridiculous that we performed so well with our injuries.

Admiral Sir Ross Godfrey Lyon, sends a squadron of Fairey Swordfish off the deck of his carrier, across treacherous seas, dark clouds and menacing squalls.
They sink the Bismarck.
God save the King!
Long live Max too.

Re: Ross Lyon Haters???
We're a fair bit better than last year.
Windhager, NWM, Owens have benefited from another preason and more games.
Phillipou will improve further next year.
Stocker has been a good addition.
We need to keep recruiting and drafting well.
We saw tonight what happens when the wheel of fortune turns ... Geelong is a spent and aging force.

Re: Ross Lyon Haters???
We were in control most of the time, and any other team would put the oppo out of their misery.
Our guys played like 'we can't believe we're in front' and played very defensively to protect the lead, instead of inflicting more pain and making a statement.
Any normal team would've had 19-20 goals.
Poor accuracy and being conservative

Re: Ross Lyon Haters???
Conservative? We had 59 inside fifties, 28 scoring shots and our play on percentage was through the roof. Ross said it himself, we were bold, not conservative. Poor conversion flattered the scoreline. Very little else did.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Sun 20 Aug 2023 11:25am

Thought we attacked all night …some of the poor execution (as it did in 2009 GF??) was borderline comical
Anyhow weight of numbers git there in the end but in future in a tight game …that poor conversion is going to hurt
Players need to OWN that

No sir, sorry, ma;am, not blinded by the light...or by the boss for that matter. You are though, Tough s*** .
RTB improvements? Don't think so.. The kids playing for Sandringham have shown marked improvement over the season and I very much doubt that has anything to do with the head coach at Moorabbin.
Foeing me would be an early christmas present.

A great win by the Saints, matching the fine win against the Tigers the previous round. Well done to Ross Lyon and the team on a greatly improved season!

I hope they're buying his drinks - after the thousands of dollars he's shouted them this year. Poor sod.
