Re: Team vs Lions
I would drop Gresh…
Turns too many over but it’s always been tolerable when he was kicking the gimmes that mattered. Missed 3 of them tonight, two when the game was on the line
Gresh out for Billings
Ross out injured for Clark
Depending on performance, perhaps Coffield as sub or Bytel is usually a fairly solid choice

Re: Team vs Lions
You have to look at team structure and availability first.
These are the possible changes, but no more than 2 changes unless forced has been our MO all year.
Billings in for Gresham (ommited, 0.2 and 52%DE) or Hill (knee)
Hayes in for Philippou (managed) or Sharman (ankle)
Clark in for Ross
Sub from Gresham, Philippou, Paton, Coffield, Campbell.

Re: Team vs Lions
Well, Lyon has a history of resting players leading into the finals
Mind you it did not assist Stevens and Armitage in forcing their ways into the finals side despite both playing very well
The game is up north (remember going up there v PA last year and for GCS’s this year?)
So despite the week off after, does Lyon take an experimental side to Brisbane and say show us what you are worth?
Frankly, I don’t see why not

Re: Team vs Lions
Stick with the formula.
Need to see if our game holds up against Brisbane. If it doesn't and we've rested players we could be self delusional.
Play to win with our best 22 and if we're no good we will learn heaps.
The only exception is any player who is playing injured and will benefit from a fortnight off.

Re: Team vs Lions
Well for starters, Wood and Steele have been playing injured for most of the year, but I am not suggesting that they should be rested.
I would rest Hill though.

....as his 31 disposal, 122 AFL Fantasy points clearly demonstrated.
I'll leave the task of breaking the news to him for you.

He isn't wearing that strapping on his knee in order to fool the opposition.

Agree. Definitely injured. Given he has played every week I would guess it is a swelling management issue and with a week off between home and away and finals I'm not sure of the value in resting him.
That said- Hill tends to perform without needing to find touch so perhaps he is one who could be rested

Re: Team vs Lions
There was about 5 minutes in the 2nd quarter last night where Hill looked very proppy after a big collision, but came good. Not sure if it was just a bit of an impact that needed to be run off or was an aggravation of his knee issue, but was very worried. He came good pretty quickly, so might be that he is best to keep managing for the rest of the year, with the pre finals break coming. Regardless, sounds like Hayes and Billings are the main options for inclusions, neither of which are really like for like with Brad.
