In the nicest possible way I’ve always maintained that any player/offical etc that would come on here and take anything written seriously would be a great fool.

Who are we? Nobodies with mostly no expertise, operating on limited info, commenting mostly on what we can see mostly on the TV. This is all great fun but has always been more entertainment then serious

Agree with point number 1. That's what he's been employed to do. I don't think his job title is 'Recruiting officer' or list manager.

Are we (fans) allowed to have any doubts regarding his ability, his methods, team performance?

I'm personally not grieving for Brett and his career, although difficult to understand the clubs decision to extend someone (after getting a really good long look at them) and cancelling his contact 3 months later.

Imagine you are married for 10 years and you propose to your partner to renew your vows...and shortly after your 2nd honeymoon you ask for a divorce

Might be easier if there was an empirical difference in the team's performance.
Maybe that's in the next few weeks.
Also have some difficulty reconciling the sacking with all the mental health concern around Spuds game. Seems hollow. Poor Brett.

Spuds death & mental health are not linked. He suffered with CTE. A complex brain disorder caused by traumatic brain injury.

The SYMPTOMS of the brain disorder are:
1.Cognitive impairment
Trouble thinking.
Memory loss.
Problems with planning, organization and carrying out tasks.

2.Behavioral changes
Impulsive behavior.
Aggression.

3.Mood disorders
Depression or apathy.
Emotional instability.
Substance misuse.
Suicidal thoughts or behavior.

4.Motor symptoms
Problems with walking and balance.
Parkinsonism, which causes shaking, slow movement and trouble with speech.
Motor neuron disease, which destroys cells that control walking, speaking, swallowing and breathing.

Think about that list and some of the recent AFL deaths....

Ask yourself why the AFL is pushing mental illness as the cause of depression ( leading to suicide in Spuds case)...wouldnt be the massive class action law suit thats been forming since 2015? Hmmmmmmmmm
