Re: Ross, Membrey in. Caminiti out.
Caminiti will be back. He’s 19 and not the first young player to be dropped. Big guys can often take a bit longer to develop.
Good luck to Sharman. Let’s hope he starts holding a few of those marks he’s been flying for and makes it count on the scoreboard.

Selections for these games always trigger my little parrot to start muttering about corruption, and certain players being selected to meet triggers in their contracts.

Re: Ross, Membrey in. Caminiti out.
Membrey's career in twilight.
He's 29 y.o. and he'll drop off in 2-3 yrs.
Fitness, ability to recover during the week. He'll get less TOG
That's when Hammer and Cooper will keep him out.
Until then, Hammer and Cooper might be Subs or on the bench.
A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

I prefer my defenders to be able to think for themselves, not freeze under pressure and actually use the ball. He’s NFG and he won’t be at the club next year, where as the bloke who played on Breust will be.Ghost Like wrote: ↑Thu 10 Aug 2023 8:45pmReally? It sounds like you think he was on Breust. I can’t believe Hunter C is dropped, surely is now the sub
Last week 20 disposals, 10 tackles (equal most), second most pressure acts
And I thought was almost BOG in the first quarter, did fade in the 4th but not R Crusoe there
If he is not sub is there another reason and if there is then it is adios

Breust will be happy and a lot of other small forwards. Oh, and you bob. What pressure does Paton freeze under bob? It is certainly not the pressure of locking down a small forward.saintbob wrote: ↑Fri 11 Aug 2023 10:13amI prefer my defenders to be able to think for themselves, not freeze under pressure and actually use the ball. I wonder what Cordy’s role will be against Richmond
I hope he’s playing the passenger again, because he plays that role really well

I too am surprised re Clark and hope he is the sub.
Three forwards on the bench . I expect Owens will be in the midfield, with Higgins starting up forward.

is it important to send a message to players that don’t want to play for St Kilda?
Is it important to get used to Clark not playing for us? Do we have to imagine he’s not on the list in 2023 even if he’s not leaving until 2024?
I don’t get it. Why leave him out of the side when he is one of the most creative and one of the most effective at clearances
He wins a much higher percentage of stoppage and centre clearances attended than Steele, Gresh, Marshall and Crouch
Obviously the hierarchy have lost the plot

Hopefully Clark is the sub and hopefully he plays at least a half of football.

Re: Ross, Membrey in. Clark, Byrnes and Caminiti out.
Was also disappointed to see Clark dropped.
Had a look at the stats. He had only the 1 clearance for the game and this is where we got smashed.
I'm a massive fan so hope he is the sub but think that could be the cause.

Re: Ross, Membrey in. Clark, Byrnes and Caminiti out.
Really interesting that Clark is sent a message, but what is the point if it is penalising the team’s chances of getting a winterry smith rules wrote: ↑Fri 11 Aug 2023 6:10pm I can’t believe Hunter C is dropped, surely is now the sub

His stats last week were equal to his average output.
Why would he dropped simply because he wants to leave the club? Don’t we want play our best 22?
We don’t need any more scapegoats apart from Ronnie and Caminiti this week. Dropping Clark will hurt our chances
Don’t we want to qualify for finals? Don’t the footy department and selectors have an obligation to members and supporters?

Re: Ross, Membrey in. Clark, Byrnes and Caminiti out.
Smashed in clearances.
Ross > Clark in clearances
Clark worst performed mid in that area.
I don't necessarily agree with the decision but this is the only logic that makes sense to me.

Re: Ross, Membrey in. Clark, Byrnes and Caminiti out.
Be interesting to see if Clark’s sub if not I’d suggest he’s got a small injury concern.
DB Copper is that Byrnes that has been dropped? I hope Lyon didn’t mention any flaws in his game.

So it looks like both our picks 7 and 8 from the 2017 draft could be busts!
Let that sink in!
