1. Greg Williams retired 26 years ago, the game is a lot different in its requirements of athletes now.
2. Greg Williams was elite by hand and foot, on both sides and was incredibly tough and a great extractor from a contest.

Comparing Clark to an all time great is laughable, like comparing McCartin to Plugger because thy were both perceived to be overweight key forwards.

Clark has courage, good skills and is clever in heavy traffic.
He can be a good AFL player.
He is however running in quicksand and dos not have a high endurance level for an AFL player.
He is really suited as a half back but behind NWM and Sinclair in that rebounding role at St Kilda.

Maybe we do away with a lock down player like Webster or Stocker next year and play Sinclair, NWM, Clark & Hill alongside the talls as rebounders.

By the way how fast is Hunter, and what is too slow. Or is this a bit of gratuitous subjective guess work/character assassination. Jones is fast, but so what, he's largely ineffective. Hunter is quite effective, good hands/clever/brave, its not the Olympics 100m he is contesting.
How do we rate Pendlebury, tortoise or hare. Good or flog him to North poor. You'd be laughed out of Victoria Park to suggest it, wind whistling through all those gums.

Clark is not just slow- his loping stride length also impacts his kicking depth, and while he looks as if he should be a good kick many drop short and are intercepted. He has most of the skill set we love to see- and I hope he stays but works on improving his running style if that is possible?

I just believe our 22 is better with Clark in it, than a speculative 2nd or 3rd rounder. I also believe our 22 will be better with a fit, confident Nick Coffield. I hope they both remain at St Kilda.

It seems the Hunter Clark bashing never ends.

The guy has had a terrible run with injuries, some horrific, and none to do with his overall fitness. They have all been contact injuries. However, all injuries interrupt a player's ability to get to peak fitness and remain there.

Injuries affect players both physically and mentally. We saw what they did to Jack Steele earlier this year

So...... how about we just let this stuff go for now. It's getting pretty tedious.

Gresham is playing like someone who is out the door. A player the club will be better without, in my opinion.
