Good to see the club having a crack at the tribunal. The Hammer certainly has a crack too. What he lacks in talent he makes up for in intensity.

The charge has been downgraded from a one match suspension to a fine so The Hammer is free to show Weitering an company he is not to be messed with this Sunday.

I felt it was a non-incident.

But when its high contact, reckless even with VERY low impact we get done...if this was Baker he'd get 6 weeks.

With King, Members, Hayes and Coff and Dougs coming back Sharman will slip back a fair way, Caminiti will also slide in and out of the team although Caminiti could be safe if Members or Hayes struggle.

Someone should probably tell him to stop needlessly throwing his fists around to try avoid future hassles like this!

Give the Sharman bagging a rest FFS. It has become quite boring.

Well off the mark as usual with your attempted trolling.

I get what you're saying but ... I loved that he smacked Sicily for putting his head where he shouldn't and let him know he wouldn't be bossed around. We're such a nice, non-confrontational, quiet team - I'm all for having a few players with some genuine c@nt in them that won't be pushed around and will stick up for others (Stocker is the only another).

I long for the 04/5/6 days where we had nasty enforcers everywhere (Powell, Black, Hammill, Gehrig, Lawrence, Guerra etc)
Add: The Cowboy, Jimmy Read, Barry Lawrence, Jimmy O’Dea, Alan Morrow Travis Payze and the Pascoe boys.

Big Carl Ditterich anyone? Even Jeff Sarau and Garry Sidebottom. Just ask the f****** drug cheats who had the hide to label us as "animals'.

And Eric Guy was as tough as old boot leather.

Some of my favourites mentioned there. And let's not forget Plugger.

Glad to have enforcers and aggressive players in the side. In many cases their aggression and willingness to throw their weight around was what made them the players they were.

At the same time, if Caminiti can keep it within the rules it will save us a lot of anxious moments over the next 10 years (I hope).

19yo in his first season virtually without having done a pre-season kicks 19 from 16 games

Another 5 to 10kg of muscle and maybe an extra 1 or 2 cm of height to come ..... he is gunna be a beast in a few years

Just needs to learn to read the ball better and not run underneath the ball and use his body to block and take the ball out in front - if so he will be hard to stop

I like Hammer but I wouldn't go that far. He's played 16 games and kicked 19 goals. Max kicked 52 last year. Hammer should make it if he can clean up his disposal and improve his decision making but he's not a lock yet.

It was stupid by him but didn't warrant a suspension so the correct outcome in the end. However, he did get the kick reversed because of his need to be the big man.
As a player I like him but there is no place for this in the modern game you will never get away with it.

What is the origin of his nickname Hammer? Is that what his teammates call him? Haminiti?

Apparently Robert Harvey
