Re: Match Thread Saints v Roos Round 19 2023
Well, I said at the start of this thread that I would be happy with any sort of win, and that good play from us would be an optional extra.
So I suppose I should be happy. But gee we were crap.

As terrible as they were, at least they didn’t chuck the towel in
Fell over the line against possibly the worst side in the comp

Congratulations to our captain. Good game

Re: Match Thread Saints v Roos Round 19 2023
A few thoughts after the game that I'm sure will get some airtime this week.
- Marshall up forward changed the game for us. Need Heath in the side (or Campbell, I guess) to let Rowan play around the ground more.
- Higgins, Butler, Gresham have clearly had their creative, gamebreaking play coached out of them.
- Our poor entries inside 50 is as much about delivery as it is about ground position and forward movement.
- Our bottom 6 players don't have much development left in them, and are a liability
- Players overreact to coaching instruction, our ball movement in the first half is proof.

It was a shocker, but the RL haters will now need to admit that he is a bit better than Ratts who had the game in the bag, then lost the bag.

Nup. Ratts is better until Ross gets us to win 2 finals. How likely did that look at 3/4 time.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Roos Round 19 2023
The site certainly is flaky but probably easier fixed than the team of plodders that scraped home against North. Must bring in Heath to give Roma a chop out they can alternate between ruck and full forward. Midfield needs more pace Owens, Sincs and Windy are our best chance. Steele and Crouch still needed for the grunt work and maybe the odd cameo from Jones and Gresham but their disposal and decision making is atrocious. Coff showed his class at Sandy and should be bought in ASAP. Stocker does not have Billings skills but is a lot harder at it and is a better option but in reality we are so far off being a finals side it will be embarrassing if we do scrape in.

RTB had a huge pot at Docklands staff for the ground condition.
Can anyone at the game confirm?
- Wet seats
- Slippery and poor ground conditions

Just trying to read this thread and all I see are double and triple posts. What's going on?
