Butler 'managed'
A very small statement by Ross, as an example to others.
He's on the 8man bench, but he will definitely be out this week.
Playing for Zebs.
Also, that WOFTAM umpire Eleni is named

Not according to the team sheet
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Butler 'managed'
Eleni has been unremarkable in our last few matches she has umpired. That's exactly what you want from an umpire. Think she is doing well.

Re: Butler 'managed'
Butler has been excellent all year, so it wouldn't be for anything other than a rest if he is managed.

Re: Butler 'managed'
Butler is the one that plays as a true crumbing forward. Higgins is more marking, Gresh getting into space.Banger9798 wrote: ↑Thu 20 Jul 2023 11:54pm Butler has been excellent all year, so it wouldn't be for anything other than a rest if he is managed.
He’s the player of all of them that’s really struggled when the marking talls when down. Caminati and Coops are ok but they don’t draw the ball like King did so I think positioning has been harder for him

Re: Butler 'managed'
Unlike her fellow field umpires she actually bounces the ball quite well and you get a proper ruck contest.

Re: Butler 'managed'
I think Eleni has been ordinary
I think the umpires this year have been woeful
Over officiating and frankly when the whistle blows it’s like Russian roulette as to who’s getting the free….
So many goals from frees paid 1 end …not the other
Then late qtr back line/wing “evener upper “ frees
Absolutely appalling- one part of the game continues to go backwards
Get out of the game maggotts - you are not the game
Pay the obvious
Play on elsewhere

Re: Butler 'managed'
Eleni Generally gets the Sunday Graveyard shift games. She is one who has benefited form 4 umpires by having 9 extra spots each week.
Watching Richmond v WC last week you had the Stkilda dreaded Quinella - Eleni and Fisher.

Re: Butler 'managed'
Would have been strange to drop the only two small forwards who chase & tackle. Peris stiff but Higgins must come back in.

Re: Butler 'managed'
You mean after the performance last week he managed to stay in.
