Cordy for Battle. Billings for Hill. Jones for Ross. Sharman, swing man sub. I’d also strongly consider another ruckman this week against Gawn, Grundy.

I haven’t been watching Sandy. How is Campbell going? Is Heath up to it yet?

Will be good when Clark is ultimately ready. We’ve sorely missed his creativity in the the midfield.

Poor DMac, just can’t get that calf right.

Far out.

Not "Simon Templar". He was here first. Please change my username to Bumstead and if possible make me one of those very large sandwiches, thanks!

I reckon DMAC is done at years end.

On Max Heath. Does 44 hit outs to advantage, 1 goal and 4 marks say he’s ready? I think it does.
I remember watching Heath in the preseason practice match and I thought he did some nice things and was a presence against Grundy. I think he would be a perfect call up.

Just because they have two ruck’s doesn’t mean we will!
Maybe, but not necessarily

Only one of them can ruck at a time!

It’s actually been a problem for them, because when not rucking both Gawn and Grundy have struggled.

Yes on Heath. Even if he has 50% TOG he must play soon. Maybe not against Gawn and Grundy.

I get what you’re saying, but Marshall’s workload is a concern.

He can’t do it all himself and his back-ups are Caminiti - a 19-year-old, and Owens - a second year player who maybe doesn’t have the height against those two.

An alternative I guess would be Cordy doing some pinch-hitting down back and King doing it up forward

Highmore for Battle.

Hopefully Hill and Ross are ok.

Highmore is a great interceptor and 3 seconds later a defensive liability. Cordy for mine. Make him defend and let Wilkie free.

I am not sure about Melbourne, but we are being stretched with talls. Brisbane smashed us with Daniher and Hipwood. Howard made to look silly covering two KPFs.

Cordy or Highmore for Battle depending on their tall fwd situation.

Selection integrity

Should be Highmore - given he’s dominated VFL for the entire season as a HB

But it’ll be Cordy due to experience

Ross has faith in the known

Gawd, you’re probably right.

Bring in Cordy then.

Keeler was managed last week with a hand injury.

Ross will be a definite out

He could barely walk on the news!

Typically courageous effort to get back or there with the sub already made. His second half helped StK sneak over the line.
Obviously he missed a lot of the second quarter and only had 68% tog, half of which injured!

Coffield was shown as 2 weeks on the St Kilda site

But is now shown as 6 weeks on the AFL site

Another set back?

Class player who is sadly missed

Injuries, soreness, etc is always worse two days after the game. match, etc. That's when the body has completely cooled down and any initial swelling etc should be subsiding - that's when you see the real damage, feel the burn, etc.

Give Seb, Bradley, the Man of Steele and Bytel a week off.

Then bring them back, plus play Bytel, when we play Suns week after next.

Let them get right.

Love DMac but I think it’s time.
He is very much In Hannebery territory now
Our recruiting team haven’t been terrible the last 2 years so I’m inclined to let him go and open up a spot for a Stocker, Caminiti, Hayes, style pick before the season starts. Barring injury, those last minute additions have been solid.

Honestly how much bad luck can we have with these repetitive injuries. McKenzie was in career best form before breaking down, Hannebrey would still be playing if his body held up, McCartin concussion, Koby Stevens would possibly still be playing and the list goes on.
