Re: Ashes comments
More to the point, why do the f****** maggots allow the f****** poms to bowl up to 5 short pitched balls an over?

Re: Ashes comments
Yes, the umps are deliberately ignoring the 2 per over rule, all this short pitched bowling makes for shite cricket.
Maybe that's the definition of bazball, shite cricket, shite umpiring.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Re: Ashes comments
How was Mitchell Stars catch ruled ‘not out’.
I have watched cricket for over 50 years and played for 30+ and I have never seen a more ridiculous overruling of a catch at any level than that of Starc’s catch last night.
Yes he could have not used the ball to control his landing, but he clearly caught it a meter or more above the ground and was never not in control of the ball.
Also agree on the short bowling.
I don’t care about whether the two bouncer rule per over should or shouldn’t be current, the fact is the rule has been totally ignored for both teams bowling. England for the bulk of Australia’s 2nd innings and Australia bowling to Brook.

3 more what?
Tests?
Series against the Aussies?
Dropped sitters?
Great bowler, but certainly looks very near the end of a great career.

As an Australian, I hope it's the next 3 Tests. Let him drop as many sitters as he likes, he may be chaired off by Head and Smith.D.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Sun 02 Jul 2023 10:51am3 more what?

He seems to be like that ageing, favourite pet, the hardest decision is also the best decision for all concerned.

Re: Ashes comments
Yeah poor Jimmy is looking his age, can’t hide him in the field, a few went straight thru him!
Always thought he was an overrated bowler too, granted he does well in ideal English conditions, but anything outside of that he’s quite average.

Is Bairstow the most unhealthy and useless keeper getting around?
Looks like he’s dying for a pint and a big serve Yorkshire pudding at the local….
Iron gloves.

Possibly should be playing darts but with hands like his he'd need to play in steel caps.

Re: Ashes comments
Overrated?
186 test matches
696 wickets at 26
The hair dye isn’t hiding his age, and he looks cooked but overrated is something that cannot be directed toward Anderson.
Yes he is better at home where he averages 24 than away, but nearly 300 wickets away at 29 is hardly the performance of a bowler who is quite average away from home.
Most of the greats were better on home conditions than abroad, or in conditions that suited their style.
