Re: Gresham
Shop him
Had always reminded me of one of those punchem rollypolly clowns
The kind you hit and they keep bouncing back up
Too small for the middle keeps getting knocked down
Too selfush and wasteful in the forward line

Re: Gresham
If he goes to another club we will get an ‘end of second round’ compo
Somewhere between pick 36-40 depending on matched bids at the top end of the draft
Billings will be traded for a pick in the 50s
Hunter Clark for a late second rounder
That means we will have turned
Picks 3, 7, 15
Into picks in the 30-50 range
Astute!

In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Gresham
End of 2nd round for Gresham won’t happen, we will match and keep him
It’s up to billings what he wants
And hunter Clark will stay
I am convinced we have more supporters that love the melodrama just so they can complain….

Re: Gresham
And the other 75% are “oh well, she’ll be right next year”, “it’s only a game”, so basically happy with failure after failure without blinking an eyelid.
Imagine this was Collingwood, they’d tear the place down.
But it’s not and they are basically never in this position.

Re: Gresham
Really Collingwood never in this position
They have won 2 premierships in 65 years
You are kidding yourself, they are basically in this position constantly

Re: Gresham
Get used to the idea
Gresham and Clark still unsigned and want out
Gresham will be a blue
Clark a Roo
Billings will go anywhere - he definitely wants out!
Probably bombers or dogs

Re: Gresham
And lost a lot more, many many many many more finals/prelims. Point being, give yourself a chance.
We wait 25 years, one or two cracks, then disappear again.
Tell me, why don’t they disappear for more than 3 years??

Re: Gresham
Gresh has been poor for 3 years. It’s only now everyone is waking up to it because he’s not injured. His decision making and skill execution are below average for a mid ( which is what he thinks he is)
Why would we expect a first or second round pick for him? The other clubs have eyes and brains as well.

Re: Gresham
What do you mean poor for 3 years?
Missed a season with an Achilles
Missed half a season with a PCL
He’s been injured

Re: Gresham
One of the players who just didn't that extra bit harder in attack or in the midfield when there- too many waiting for the easy, out the back ball.

Re: Gresham
Not all of it he hasn’t. He’s generally played minimum 6 games, sometimes nearly half the season.
He’s had some reasonable games in that time, but always the same issues have always remained. Poor disposal poor decision making

Re: Gresham
Jones might be another who finds himself looking for another club - depending on what RTB wants.
TBH I wouldnt be upset losing any of those players as long as we get something reasonable in return. Its obvious our list needs an injection of talent and those players have had plenty of time to show they will make it and havent produced for one reason or another. My issue is our timing re this years draft strengths compared to last.
When we desparately need elite midfielders, it just goes to show how poor our list strategy has been managed for sometime. Last year was the strongest midfield draft there has been in sometime and we chose to hang onto players and release them this year when the strength of midfield kids is no where near that of last year. It looks like we dont know what we are doing from one year to the next, let alone having any long term management plans in place?
