Caminiti getting smashed by Andrews.
It's just as much about the way the ball is getting to him. Andrews would eat those up against ANY team.
Ball movement and decision making is woeful

The Lion's player's head didn't touch the ground in that stocker tackle, does that count in his favour ?
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Don’t think it will matter, that’s the exact tackle they’re trying to get rid of, hopefully only gets 1

You don’t know the rules it’s called blocking.
If you could do what Dunkley was trying to do you’d just play sumo wrestlers in the ruck.

2 goals in a half is very average footy.
9 disposals 3 clangers from the Captain. Not good enough.
Clearances 10 to 19
Centre clearances 5 to 2
Same old story.

Caminiti and Phillipou need two more preseasons to become competitive against good mature players.
Well, we will saving money in September again.

When umpires allow an eternity to get rid of the ball it’s the perfect tackle. Body hit the ground and he had an arm free.

Positives - Battle, Sincs, NWM, Wood, Stocker, Butler.
Negatives - All those players except Butler are playing behind the footy.

In fairness…
The umpire was obviously thinking about efficiency. Rather than Byrnes kicking it directly back to Brisbane, he he just cut out the extra step

Lol
After everything we’ve seen so far this year, if u think he won’t get suspended for that tackle then you’re even more clueless than Curley!

The only reason Sharman has not been subbed on is that RTB is spoilt for choice on who to take off.

What else was Stocker supposed to do? The game is unwatchable.

Re: Spud's Game Match Thread - vs Brisbane @ Marvel - Round 15
Every time Sinclair went back into his usual role we looked better.
I think the idea that he should be played in the middle has been exploded tonight.
We need to get some better midfielders. I would agree that Bytel is nothing special, and probably wont' make it in the long run, but he is a genuine midfielder. Tonight Crouch is more or less playing a lone hand. Gresham has been crap.
And is Lyon ever going to try to do something to counteract opposition players who tear us up coming out of defence? We've seen Nick Daicos and Sicily do it. Last week it was Vlastuin. Tonight Andrews. It's so bleeding obvious that even the moron commentators are discussing it.

Owens just held him and didn’t let him get near the ball and contest the ruck.CURLY wrote: ↑Fri 23 Jun 2023 9:57pmThe_Dud wrote: ↑Fri 23 Jun 2023 9:55pmLol, not sure what reality you live in

Clear as day.
Get a ruckman to play in the ruck!
