As I’ve said before (been shot down for it) finals this year is fools gold. 2020 all over again …harder draw next year ba k yo pack
How is the draw harder next year?

Between 7 and 12 is exactly the same portion of games against similar positions
Movement on the ladder is a crap shoot ie - who would have picked BOTH grandfinalists are likely to miss the finals

Also

How does the draw make any difference - if you can't beat them in the season - you wont beat them in the finals.
It’s a fixture
It’s not even it can’t be
We have been given a pretty soft run
If you make 8 you can expect to play more top 8 sides next year
It gets harder
See Cats this year
Return games against Roos Eagles Hawks help…

B.M wrote: Sun 18 Jun 2023 1:26pm Told the team to make the ground bigger

Exactly the opposite to what you do in the wet

Rain was always coming- in those conditions it is a territory game and bash the ball forward at every opportunity

We were feeding the ball backward by hand and inviting pressure

Howard’s two missed handballs were a case in point
Firstly he didn’t execute - maybe slippery
Secondly and most importantly why was he looking to handball a cake of soap in d50?

Instructions should have been
When it gets slippery- take ground - and ensure there is representation forward of the ball

The fact we went an extra at the source and allowed Vlaustin to have 11 intercepts was shocking - you don’t need an extra at stoppage in the wet because you are not sharing by hand out of stoppage.

Also
As soon as it was slippery and wet - it was never going to be a rebounding game with run from behind
Sinclair should have been moved inside to get some polish around the footy

Would’ve moved Steele forward
And Owens into the midfield to give size and competitiveness at stoppage

Would’ve moved Caminiti to the bench and played him as a second ruck

I thought we got strategy wrong completely
Exactly NOT what Lyon said in his presser
Told them to make the ground bigger before the rain - we had 4 on the board playing that way before they realised it
After the rain we changed forwards up and adjusted and got back in the game
Suggest you listen to what Lyon says not what you want to hear so you can go on sone fantasy cliched coaching rant
It’s not accurate

He said he said that at Qtr time

The rain came Q2

Maybe you should listen

Your hero fked up - on almost every front - tactically terrible from the box!

Teams have worked out the fold back defence. They scored at Will in q1 before the rain
10 scoring shots
We kicked 5 straight - lucky to be within two goals at qtr time

Listened to it again.
You’re making up lies
He didn’t say that at all
Said the coach-able group had to adjust q2 but turnovers hurt them
You do it on the site all the time - ask yourself your own questions…so you get to dazzle us with all that pent up professional footy knowledge
Bizarre
We were within a goal end 3rd
Dominated 4th and couldn’t hit side of a barn
So much for your “we’ve been worked out” nonsense..
There’s only 1 hero in his own lunchtime on this site …

So what was your lunch time special today Teflon
Thought the commentators made note of the extra behind the b all change later in the game was when we started to get back into the contest
It was a reactive move not proactive when the heaviest of rain had finished

Everyone needs to try a little harder in heavy wet conditions, some of our guys didn't have a red hot go in Q2.

No need to get personal when you’re struggling Teffers

Keep it to the footy, ease up on the abuse

:P

i find myself still keen on a tester
so

i'll ask the first for a mate

said mate , plays with a half decent old peoples band of musicians easing out tunes for older people who by age are less than decent without toiletry supports

now , said mate yearns to see an actual st kilda victory
before going toes up

said mate was invited to a (near as possible) guaranteed victory
verses the gold coast in a month

why won't said mate
leave an amped up cardboard cutout of himself
for the gig on the same evening
in some gods waiting room somewhere in mid nsw
to play lead for the toiletry challenged

and come to the footy ?

he claims he's 'torn'

but We (the invitees) think he doesn't really like us

Que? Please explain
look at that rain. in winter. bugger that.
You’re living in the past. You’re talking about the way things were 30-40 or 50 years ago…

Check the Bureau of meteorology figures for Sydney and Brisbane rainfall and then come back to me

“More than 2.5 metres of rain has fallen on Sydney this year, obliterating the city's previous annual rainfall record by more than 300 mm.”

“ Total rainfall for Brisbane was estimated (from nearby sites) at 2036 mm, which is 191% of the long-term calculated average of 1067.3 mm. This is the wettest annual total since 1974 (using combined sites) and the fifth-wettest on record since official Brisbane records began in 1840”
why are so many melbourne peeps so thin skinned bout their city? your weather sucks.i'm looking at it right now. i put up with it every time i visit. whoopie doo.
Like I said... you're living in the past...

It's freezing cold and raining today in Alice

I think Melbourne's temperature this afternoon was higher than Alice Springs!!

That goal was created by allowing too much space at half back.
The game plan is flawed.
