Taranto's goal
Damning footage on the Sunday Footy Show of Seb Ross standing around watching as his opponent Taranto breaks free and waltzes towards goal.
Any consequences for this?

Re: Taranto's goal
That does look very damning doesn’t it.
Picking and choosing efforts and work rate has been a criticism that Ross has copped a few times, especially in recent months.
No doubt BM and a few others will point out what a great role he did, that it wasn’t really his opponent and remember his 37 goal assists 110 pressure acts etc etc whilst in the same breath tearing Howard asunder for a forced error.
I can’t help but feel that if Crouch, Gresh, Coops, Higgins, Hill or a few other whipping boys failed to bother manning up on an opponent that kicked a critical goal, the Seb Ross brigade would absolutely tear them asunder.
Dropped, suspended and forced to repeat drills til midnight
I don’t know that I expect RTB to react as he has always been conservative
It will be interesting to see the forum reaction. I expect feint admonishment from his one eyes defenders and then deflection

Re: Taranto's goal
It was a poor effort
- one of a number of poor lazy efforts
Seb has been horribly out of form for the last month, looks devoid of confidence- after a great first 7 rounds - not sure if it’s a role thing?
He started to get some form back after HT sat night - I think he had nearly 20 in the half
But yeah, him and Steele are way out of form - as is Gresham

And yes been picking and choosing when to go way to long
People calling for Lyon to ring the changes…
Take a look at the two’s …..the cupboards not exactly full of options..
That’s saving Ross
I said before and got howled down by the Seb fanboys
Reality is we’ll be a better side when he’s pushed out of the midfield by the kids
I am disappointed we play Owens in ruck and not as a genuine mid
Get him in there let him get to work
Ross out

Re: Taranto's goal
You’ll get frustrated
Seb will play every game unless injured
And bring up his 200th
Any of the seconds players going to play 200 AFL games?
Leo Connolly?!

Re: Taranto's goal
Lol Sebs in the side cause we have NO midfield depth
If we did have anything…you’re hero with your BnF trophy from that glamorous Richo team would be out the door..
Cheap shots at kid like Connolly don’t mask the fact your “experienced gun mid” in Seb is a plodder.

Re: Taranto's goal
Maybe we should pick the team based on who is likely to play better this week rather than who is likely to play more games in their career.
Just a thought.

The turnovers in that footage were unforgivable
We threw the game away

Re: Taranto's goal
Sometimes you just get too stuffed to be able to react. Seb's mind might have said tackle but his legs said no way.
Re: Taranto's goal
Plenty of Richmond possessions were in the clear with Saints watching and not chasing.

Re: Taranto's goal
He must have been totally cooked.
Seb does not give half efforts.
He is not the greatest player out there , but his work ethics is huge.

A fit Jones or Mackenzie would see Ross traded.Teflon wrote: ↑Mon 19 Jun 2023 1:06amLol Sebs in the side cause we have NO midfield depth
