Almost never gets beaten and often emerges with the clearance
Actually feel more confident with him in the ruck than Roma

Not sure why he doesnt attend more centre bounces as a rover though

He’s great against another smallish 2nd ruck. I’m not sure he could play as number one against a Gawn or English.

But I love his attitude. He displayed it last year and he amped it up this year.

Was watching the game last night with a mate who's a Pies tragic. He hadnt seen Owens play before. As we were watching he asked "who's that Number 10, he's bloody good?" As the game kept going he kept pointing him out. At the end of the game he goes "Mate I thought Nick was the best young player in the game. I think I just saw his biggest rival in that dept" Owens blew him away. He's now a fan.

Playing Owens in the ruck reminds me of my cousin's neighbours in Sth Aussie many years ago.

They drove around their paddocks in a Silver Cloud Rolls with the back doors missing so the sheep dogs could get easy access when rounding up their sheep flocks
