Well done
That’s leadership
And THAT spoil in the last quarter! It sent a loud message that the Saints would not be beaten.
Yep important moment
It’s easy to step up when you’re on top of your game but he’s clearly not right and to his credit found another gear when it mattered
Actually Butler too - I’m not a huge Butler fan but hats off stepped up in important moments
And dare I say it…
I thought the coaching was good tonight - even if we hadn’t won
Made some smart moves
Gresham into midfield to give us sone spark
Pou back
Owens - seemed to use him as his mr fix it late (how good is that kid wow)
Sub - right time
Good effort all round - don’t underestimate how hard to win on the road ….especially when you haven’t done it there since 2009 ..smashed a hoodoo …since he last smashed it !
Some reckon Gresh butchers the ball. Not really, his strength is playing chaos ball. When he wins the ball from the centre he just runs flat out and bangs the ball as far as he can into the forward line. While we might vent spleens if we don't directly benefit from ahis kicks we fail to notice the chaos and second-guessing that goes on within the opposition.

Pou really got himself and the team into the game when he moved to the back line. Such a beautiful kick, he made a big difference.
What I like about Pou is he just pressures and pressures and every game he’s only getting better ..

Longmire's press conference:

- Blakey passed HIA (no concussion) but it took 15 mins and they needed people on the ground, had a toe injury coming in so made the call.

Sydney go forward late to Franklin

Owens squares the contest then blocks Franklin from the ball allowing Wilkie to collect and run off

This kid has all the tools

How we missed him against Hawthorn

They got two goals from dodgy free kicks and Buddy’s second one was over the goal line

Mitch Owens playing all over the ground

21 disposals
12 contested
490 metres gained
7 inside 50s
6 score involvements
8 marks
3 contested marks
2 goals
Absolute gun already. Just so strong and explosive. Can play as a midfielder, ruck, or power forward. Look out!

John Longmire says no concussion but did not want to lose player for 15 minute assessment.
Just replaced him because he had another injury.

Butler might get off because not sufficient force with head hitting the ground to cause concussion.

Don't know about that, they allowed a goal which Buddy clearly kicked over the goal line.

Blakey has an ankle injury. That's why he went off. He wasn't concussed.

It's not like channel 7 would have know that - you know, being the football commentators and the "expert" commentators they are - pack of morns they are.

Well done Saints. Winning a tough, slippery, contest in a place we haven't won for years.

I think I heard Daisy mention the scans found his brain was in his foot and Butler could still be in trouble.

If he misses a game for that, no player will ever tackle. Jumpers and shorts will be replaced with neat little dresses. The Grand Final will be played in front of a crowd of zero.
We have to draw a line in the sand and say enough is enough with this head protection crap. It’s honestly beginning to completely change the fabric of the game. Make all players sign a waiver, playing AFL has always come with serious possibility of life changing injury. You sign an AFL contract you get all the reward and a lifestyle literally millions of people would want for themselves.

Interesting that Ross mentioned in the press conference that sending Windy to Warner helped swing the game.

Didn’t we keep getting told the reason he wasn’t playing in the seniors was because they wanted him to be more of an attacking mid and not a tagger?

If he can nullify the opponents best mids I say keep at it.

There were no comments on the umpiring from Curley

I still reckon you are one in the same poster.
