Re: Training for this week and Next week (Bye Round)
Tony said on BF that the trained yesterday and will again on Tuesday. Be nice to get a report on the players returning if anyone was down there?
Does anyone know why VFL schedule there byes to align with the AFL? Surely the clubs would prefer to have their VFL players playing a game during the AFL bye weeks. It would allow players some clean air to impress and force their way back into the AFL sides.

Its a contractual weekend off for AFL listed players. AFLPA demanded it.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Sun 04 Jun 2023 5:47pm Tony said on BF that the trained yesterday and will again on Tuesday. Be nice to get a report on the players returning if anyone was down there?

C/- of The Cobra on BF -
Training today:
Went for about 90 minutes
Enthusiasm was good
New fitness guy did the warm up
Training generally seemed to be at a higher intensity than the last time I went
5 on 5 handball keepings off drill in a small space - pretty much full on pressure with tackling
Owens looks ready to go
Just a hunch but looks to me Windhager will get a full game in the midfield Thursday as he was training with the midfield group at the end & did some solo ground ball work at the end (his ball handling is very good) - looked up beat
Match simulation with pretty good ball movement
Jones & DMac pretty much trained by themselves
Billings, Bytel, Hayes, Allison & McLennan (?) just ran laps
RTB more involved than I have seen previously
Hopefully all of the above translates into an improved performance.
Go Saints!
