Re: Hardwick to Resign
Why?
Down season but they’re hardly a train wreck
Unless he’s actually just decided he’s had enough… that a huge call

Wow this is big. When was the last time 2 coaches resigned or pulled out mid season
Is it a sign of the Times?

Re: Hardwick to Resign
It is a good time.
Others in the admin at the club going
Team needs a rebuild .
Can walk into a media gig next year where you do SFA and get shedloads of moolah.
Or perhaps coach Wet Toast
Or get on the AFL gravy train helping to set up the new Tassie team.

Re: Hardwick to Resign
Does anyone here really care. I know I don't.
Couldn't give a s*** if 16 other coaches resigned or were given a shove either.
I really only care about the Saints.
Cruel? So what.

Hands off Robert Harvey.
If I were Richmond, I'd chase him.
He's ours.
Too bad.

Re: Hardwick to Resign
Hardwick one of the best coaches of his generation, and perhaps the best of all.
Managed to coach his team to multiple premierships playing an entertaining, attacking style of game with lots of individual flair.
Well done to him. He’s been good for his club and good for the game.

Re: Hardwick to Resign
To borrow from Eddie, what a big week in footy!
Clarko, indefinite. What is it with North? Rhys Shaw walked away after one year.
Hardwick. Mrs Trev dislikes him with a passion, especially his shyte-eating, smug grin and his grisly demeanor when being interviewed.
And in the West, the media is chanting "Somebody must go" after the Weagles pathetic 112 point "win" in the battle for the number 1 draft pick. That "someone" will be Adam Simpson. Pretty cruel, a very good premiership winning coach trying to be competitive with 17 senor players on the injured list. It might provide a sliding doors opportunity for him to return home to North. I am sure the rabble would welcome him with open arms. And, truly, isn't it great to see the eagles in such a mess at the moment?

Re: Hardwick to Resign
I have loved what Damian Hardwick has brought the game as a coach. From the exciting style his Tigers have played and his quirky approach to dealing with the media he has been refreshing. Some individuals just ooze personality that you understand players want to play for and he has been one of those special coaches. The Tigers are heading for a rebuild and with the pressures on coaches I can understand he doesnt have the energy to go again.
Hopefully he bobs up again at another club after some time away from the game to recharge the batteries.
