Votes v Giants
5. Jack Sinclair - a great game from a wonderful player .
4. Nasiah Wanganeen- Milera. So much poise.
2. Jack Steele. Quiet early , but willed himself into the game and was fantastic in the clinches .
2. Max King. A welcome return.
1. Jade Gresham.
1. Callum Wilkie.
Until injured, Mich Owens was BOG. Great to see him up and about after the game.
Well played also by Higgins, Stocker, Clark ( especially early ) and Wood ( especially late ) .

5. Sincs. Absolutely superb. Harveyesque.
4. Wanganeen-Milera, best ever game. Will somebody please take him aside, reinforce what a beautiful kick he is and there is no need to pack his dacks whenever he is faced with the daunting task of kicking a goal.
3. Steele. Somebody on this forum said during the game he shouldn't be playing and others were in nodding agreement. Gee, feeling foolish must be enjoyable.
2. Wood. Excellent last quarter got us home.
1. MAX! Welcome back big fella, his quick hands, smarts, ability to contest mark and get the ball to ground have been sorely missed.

Will own the egg on the face. With 10min to go in the second, he had 4 touches and hadn’t been near it for nearly a quarter of play. The Fireman wrote: ↑Sun 21 May 2023 10:02pm Who said steel shouldn’t be playing and who agreed

Someone then showed him my post (obviously), had 8 touches in the last 10min and a huge second half. Happy to wear that I was wrong… best half he’s played since return from injury. Ton of tackles too. Hasn’t seemed right but back on track thankfully like the champ he is.

Think he might be in hiding, waiting for another loss so he can heap more negative s*** on the saints using this forum. The Fireman wrote: ↑Sun 21 May 2023 10:02pm Who said steel shouldn’t be playing and who agreed

5 Sinclair- top 10 player in the league
4 Steele - remembered that he was a contested beast
3 King - strong and confident, weights and protein
1 Wood - effort and composure
1 NWM - skill and now adding power
1 Michito - BOG until he went off to friendly fire
Apologies to Gresham

You just can’t write players like Steele off at the drop of a hat

Just suggested he came back too soon. As I said in another thread… in regular form, a 26-27 touch game from Steele is a slow day, he’s that good. Certainly since he became captain, he hasn’t churned out many games where he’s had 4 touches in a quarter and a half. Has been down since he came back and to be honest, it feels to me like it was too soon. That second half today seems like the first time he’s remotely been back to his best. Hopefully it’s that from here on out

Re: Votes v Giants
To be fair, when Michito went down, Steele started playing with the aggression and commitment that we haven't seen all year

4 Steele
3 Stocker
2 King
1 Gresham (nowhere near his best, but he kept us in it when we were really struggling).
Howard (apart from one dreadful mistake), Webster, Wilkie, Hill, Caminiti, Higgins and Butler all did a bit too.
I agree NWM did many wonderful things, but he also stuffed up a lot. So no points from me tonight.

29 touches at 79% disposal efficiency with 19 of his disposals being kicks... and only 2 clangers for the whole day!!meher baba wrote: ↑Sun 21 May 2023 11:02pm 5 Sinclair

Second most metres gained after Sinclair. 8 intercept possessions and an impressive 10 marks. He had 4 score involvements including 2 inside 50's (remember he's a backman)
It's ok to vote any way you want but why try justifying your votes with inaccurate information
