I think we have been exceptional, considering injuries & a new coaching regimen. I had fingers crossed to sneak into the 8 if everything went perfectly. My fingers are still crossed

Our best players this season so far have been our first and second year players, but due to Caminiti's suspension and Windy playing in the reserves, this talent has been diluted. We will be a lot better now that we will get back King. RL's teams require a genuine spearhead, otherwise the scoring dries up. Does anybody think we only kick 8 goals against North if we have our forward line in? The loss to Port could have been reversed as well.

Injuries and lack of preparation and conditioning. They are one and the same. If our players hadn't been injured during pre-season and missed mock warfare against Melbourne and Essendon before the season proper they would be a lot better.

Look at how Geelong have come back to the pack, and Swans too.

If we win tomorrow, we will beat the Hawks and then we will be in the fight for the eight up to our necks. But don't kid yourself we will be in the top 4, that is just sophistry. Make the eight; win a final. That should be the supporters' realistic expectation for mine.
