Wait for it.
Sharman's first shank, will be be Vort's first crank
Cooper's first drop, will be Cairnsman's first chop!
43's missed bump will be Secret Kiel's holy rump
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

We are mismanaging Bytel and Windhager
The sub rule is exactly as it was last time - detrimental to player development- getting one qtr of footy!
Windhager has lost confidence

Re: Cooper in. Cordy out.
Agree with you on this one.
Both need to play more which is why I’m very big on not carrying a guy like Cordy when he’s only offering defensive efforts.
I’d rather spend that time on a Bytel/Windhager even if it means resting them forward

Yeah never been a fan of the sub rule.
If u get an injury, sorry but bad luck, you’ve still got another 3 on the bench.

Re: Cooper in. Cordy out.
Great call play cooper against north. If he sux it shouldn’t cost us a game and rtb was guilty before of not getting games into fringe players. Sharman will learn a lot today and hopefully get the sausage roll

Re: Cooper in. Cordy out.
So I haven’t seen the game but what did people think..?
Sharman -
17d, 11 kicks, 6 handballs, 8 marks, 2 tackles, 1 goal and 2 behinds.
For what I can see in the highlights reel… he contributed to the first goal by actually getting to the contests and bringing it to ground whilst also taking a big speccy too
In what was by accounts an absolute s-show of a game seems like that was a very respectable return and surely puts an end to the ridiculous sentiment that he is incapable of bringing to the team what Cordy was producing.
I look forward to watching him on the replay
Thoughts?

Re: Cooper in. Cordy out.
He did well. Problem is he’s not quite key-position size so - as a forward - he’s probably competing with Membrey for a spot rather than King or Caminiti.skeptic wrote: ↑Sun 07 May 2023 8:09pm So I haven’t seen the game but what did people think..?

Sharman is clearly infinitely better than Cordy. Can contribute forward and around the ground.
The kid obviously has a lot of potential and should be stuck with.

Whilst Coops got possessions (which I along with many don’t rate as being important), got to contests, took marks, brought the ball to ground and kicked a goal…
Did he do the vital things like make his team mates walk taller, give us structure, guard space, add toughness, block, do a role that’s not near the contest or involves doing anything with an opponent?
I mean stats is just a word after all… that other stuff is what I look for and value as important. How did he do in that regard?

Re: Cooper in. Cordy out.
What the game showed was that Owens can compete in the ruck against other teams’ #2 but cannot really compete against the better #1 ruck (like Goldstein)
Would Corey have done a better job in the ruck?
I don’t know, but it’s a moot point as I’m sure the plan was always to drop Corey once King was back.

Re: Cooper in. Cordy out.
Sharman better than Corey big deal
Sharman was BETTER than MEMBREY
Tim was crap!!! Holy
Please Tim
Four times in a fortnight, he won’t settle and take ownership and have a calm shot…
On that effort today
Essendon and Gold Coast will easily beat us if we had them next week at this rate..

Out of interest for those who saw the game…
I noted two behinds in the first. Were they set shots? General play?

Re: Cooper in. Cordy out.
Had a set shot from about 50 (after a very good mark) and then a quick shot on the run from a little closer.
Took a massive hanger later in the game too.

Re: Cooper in. Cordy out.
Are we mismanaging Windy or is he cutting corners and not doing what is required of a first 18 player?
