Can’t remember seeing Membrey play a worse game.

Re: Camaniti vs memory.
I don’t think they are competing for the same spot.
Caminiti is a potential key-position player. Membrey is a good third forward, but not tall or strong enough to crash packs as a key forward should.
I think Membrey is more competing with Cooper Sharman.

Re: Camaniti vs memory.
I think before we write Membrey off completely…
Dropping him and letting him build form/fitness at Sandy isn’t IMO, the kiss of death it’s often made out to be.
He’s playing a very different style to what worked for him in his glory days IMO. He used to really rely on the at leap when going back with the flight of the ball… doesn’t seem to do that so much.
I reckon bring in Caminati in his place

Re: Camaniti vs memory.
Membrey is a great second/third forward.
This game it was just him. Hopefully, he'll be better when Caminiti and King return. He can go back to being the second forward.

Re: Camaniti vs memory.
Does Tim lack confidence? Missed that first shot last week and then just didn’t wanna seem to take responsibility then on..including today!
Real shame if so
Another option
Could he play as a winger?

He's not cooked but he is same old same old ..old bull may need to make way for young bull..he is very one dimensional and may have his head on the chopping block ..

Re: Camaniti vs memory.
Exactly. We have been burnt due to lack of true tall forwards the past fortnight, bugger Caminiti for being suspended. Lack of genuine talls to get first grab at the ball makes it tough for our smaller forwards, easy for tall back men to intercept. Skunk is still running into form and fitness, let him loose on a flank.

Re: Camaniti vs memory.
Tim is a good player. He’ll be ok in a few weeks.
My preferred forward line is:
King
Camaniti
Membrey
Owens and Matias also playing in there at stages as required, probably playing higher up the ground and also midfield minutes.

Out: Gresham
In: King
Sub: Billings
Membrey holds his spot for now as he and King will compliment each other.
Sharman/Owens/Pou all can spend some time up the ground but could get really dangerous as the third target.
Sharmans running capacity could see him become as valuable as a Wood in some ways. Was genuinely surprised.
Billings the sort of Sub who can have a massive impact.

I too was surprised by Cooper's game and I haven't joined in on the "I hate Sharman"pile on. Or the case for him.nostalgicsaint wrote: ↑Sun 07 May 2023 9:52pm Out: Gresham

It’s not just Membreys height as some make out that’s his key issue
It’s his decision making
Slow, holds up the team
He’s also slow - the forward line since he returned looks far far less dynamic
Yes that also has to do with how ball comes in
But Membrey doesn’t get on his bike, doesn’t lead up at ball carrier…today there was times he was calling for it deep behind McKay….like WTF Tim you ain’t a contested marking beast???
Good enough for Melbourne to drop Brown cause the cia h said he needed to go back and find form
Good enough for Tim

Re: Camaniti vs memory.
Yes cause his poor and slow decision making is cause he’s shorter than McKsy
Stop making excuses
