Lost it in the 2nd
Yes , I know , captain obvious
But we started well things going along nicely, then I reckon about 5 minutes into the second we started to lairise a bit , lots of dinky little kicks and handballs, then we had that kick at goal at about the 10 minute mark where the player kicked around the body , went high into the pocket , from the throw in port ran it down the ground and kicked a point , but from then they could do no wrong for 15 minutes, got ahead and that was the difference in the end .
I reckon the five day break really hurt us as well .

Absolutely spot on, Phillipou’s kick around the corner from 40 out directly in front.
The kid is a beautiful set shot, hopefully it was just a brain fade.

How about the sliding doors moment close to the end?we ran down Ollie wines and got him holding the ball, took the advantage - Steele streaming forward with a saint either side, gets mowed down!
If I recall, we had the momentum too

How about the continual long bombs into the F50 with no talls there in the last?
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Re: Lost it in the 2nd
I think the opposition have done their homework and aren't letting us play the way we did early. the fact that we don't have any Key forwards is being handed to us on a platter.
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?

Yep. Just having Max King as a forward target could have been the difference. We lacked height.
