Be assured the coaches rightfully awarded Sinclair 10 votes this week, however for some inexplicable reason last week Ross decided to vote for Daicos as BOG for an obscure reason, when he was well aware others including crouch were more influential

Where do you reckon most of Sinclair’s disposals last season were - Or Wilkie’s or Battle’s

Daicos advances the ball forward, therefore is damaging

Whether it be on any line
Not every disposal in the back half takes the team forward
Stop sprouting cliched rubbish
10 of his kicks last week were kick ins and a number of others were 1-2 run round the back gimmies
He’s a great player but he’s not winning contested ball charging into forward 50 like a gun mid so let’s stop with the stats beat
up
Again, you like stats it’s how you “watch” the game
He and his brother had 70 disposals last week -18% of the teams total for 1 score and 1 score assist
It’s why Lyon said he wasn’t the difference in the sides
Does that mean he won’t go out of his way to curtail his influence next time?? Of course
I suspect they’ll do same to Sinclair
Stats can mislead I prefer to watch

Just quietly his Brother goes alright too.
People who claim he gets cheap touches etc need to understand that every team needs that player. It’s what he does with those touches that is outstanding.

I again apologize for the ‘rap’ joke on the Roma thread, offending you was never the intention.

It was lighthearted fun and the post has been removed.

Have a pleasant evening.

It’s the mayo from the media which is cringe worthy. He kicked to Pendlebury today. He was 40 meters clear. You’d think it was the greatest piece of play in history.

There’s no question he’s a standout and quality and it’s kinda scary he reads the game so we’ll so early
IF he becomes a dominant mid look out
I’m still keen to see how he handles a hard tag

He does NOT take all the kick ins. Maynard took a couple, Moore kicked in and I think pendles did once. He takes about half the kick ins. Because he’s their best kick. He’s got some fair genes. It’s like when Ablett junior was running around . If you’re lucky enough to see their dads play and their kids are just as good, it’s quite amazing. As Teflon said, we really need some father/son superstars. I’m looking at you Roo…

Lol, looks like some of the self-uppercuts missed!

2 goals, 9 score involvements and team high 6 inside 50s…

That’s pretty good from kick-ins

Teflon

Do you not agree with Ross that Nick D was BOG vs StK?

If not

I’ll go with the numbers over your ‘eye test’

He will eventually be a mid - but they have plenty of those who are seasoned players atm

But not every great player in the AFL is a mid
For example
Daicos plays HB

He’s leading the coaches award!

I have Daicos as the 2nd best player in the game

As much as we wish he were getting cheapies and not doing damage it's not the case.

The kid is a gun. An absolute weapon that is only going to get better and better.

Ross said we would do something about him for our next encounter, will be interesting what tactics we employ to curb his influence.

Focus on Naicos at your peril. Worth throwing a physical defensive forward on him, but not worthy of a change of gameplan to adapt.

Just ask Caldwell how much physicality he can handle.

And those who are saying that his stats are also boosted by kick outs.
He averages 3.5 kick outs per game.

Oh please
Pretty sure that after Friday night everyone was raving about the Bont

Nick Daicos is an absolute gun.

His performance yesterday was sensational (did you watch?)

Two last quarter goals lifted his team over the line.

He deserves to be raved about

Please? ok seeing that you are polite.

Did the Bont get the same media attention ? Point i'm tying to make is even if Nick had 20 possies and won it the attention would be the same.
The media lap the Skunks up anyway and magnify it under the guise of the Anzac day game.

and yes I did watch the game. Daicos was very good albeit having free range.

Hope you get my point

Windhager was arguably the best tagger in the comp last year .
Hasn’t been deployed in that role at all this year
Are they keeping that tactic up their sleeve ? Or do Enright and co not agree with tagging ?
If we play Collingwood in the finals I’d love to see Windhager have a crack at blanketing Daicos - but not if it’s the first time for the year that Windy plays as tagger.
