Raph and Xavier on the other hand have been gone over a decade,

Would it be OK with everyone if on occasion we refer to Wood as Woods?sks023 wrote: ↑Mon 24 Apr 2023 2:21amWhy bother correcting me ?whiskers3614 wrote: ↑Sun 23 Apr 2023 8:46pmHow many times do people need to be told there is no e in Hunter’s surname!

It's not like it doesn't sometimes feel as if there are two of him on the field.
Also can we accept Clarke as an alternative spelling of Clarkey? Would that resolve a few hiccups?
"Clarke" would then signify that someone might be ITK or pretending to be ITK as someone recently suggested that the free usage of nick names signified.
Not sure if any other name clauses or gotchas need to be rationalised, corrected or struck from the record nor if these issues need to be addressed retrospectively! Like it's Banga not Banger right? And for the ITK Harvs also can be read as plural, in a similar way as Woods right... right? right
Also can I use this opportunity to add a vote for Clarke (as in Clarkey) seeing I somehow left him out earlier?
One last justification.. if none of the above meets the criteria one could also use the "auto correct" defence!
Oops I may have just added myself to the c**k heads list! Oh well. We'll survive
(intentional missing full stop for baiting purposes)
Not "Simon Templar". He was here first. Please change my username to Bumstead and if possible make me one of those very large sandwiches, thanks!

Re: Votes v Blues
I'm talking to one of the leading law firms in the land right now. Well...it was last month actually. Myself and one other person who shall remain anonymous (because I don't know his real name) met twice with a legal professional.
They say we could have a strong case to launch a class action law suit against several anonymous posters on this site for causing untold stress and anxiety to us because of their use of bad grammar and poor spelling
We'll be gathering examples of the incidents and gathering evidence before we go public on here.
When you have time, could you all please PM me your real names and addresses and your preferred emails
Thanks in advance

Oh - FFS - I am sick and tired or sniping - even after a win - THIS IS THE VOTING THREAD
A thread dedicated to celebrating the game no matter the result.
Get serious keyboard warriors - I am so tempted to declare this weeks voting cancelled - because I could not be f@rked going through all the trash for legitimate votes.
If it was not for the legitimate voters who are serious in their consideration - I would.
Sometimes I think you guys would write in crayons if you did not have an outlet on the keyboard.
I re-iterate the guidelines:
- Voting is open to all
- one post per poster
- 15 points available for distribution
- please vote Best on downwards (voting for position ie 1. Best on will result in your Best on getting 1 vote)
- abnormal voting (eg 15 to the one player) will be excluded
- keep arguing to a different thread
- please use the players name - or well known nickname - I have had some imaginative nominations in the past (I can deal with spelling mistakes)
- votes for umpires or opposition will be excluded

Re: Votes v Blues
For those of you who haven’t included Ross in your votes, go back and have a look at the replay and see how he wins his possessions.
His contested work was easily best on our side of the ledger, and was my best player closely followed by Sinclair - and daylight to the rest.
Hill best of the rest , and throw a blanket over about half a dozen after that who all had good periods in the game.
Very even effort and nice to think we soon will have Bytel, Billings, Jones and Caminiti all playing at Sandy and capable of coming straight in and contributing.

Re: Votes v Blues
If you value possession numbers that’s fair enough if you thought Ross was best on ground. I think Wood had a bigger impact on the result. I thought Ross was brilliant and his leadership has been first class but had him just outside my votes. By the way Tim Watson mentioned Sinclair several times during the broadcast and he was interviewed after the final siren.Zed wrote: ↑Mon 24 Apr 2023 9:33am For those of you who haven’t included Ross in your votes, go back and have a look at the replay and see how he wins his possessions.

I vote for players who perform sensational acts (including defensive acts) and do amazing things with footy in hand ( say hello to Michito)
I love the new bloke Pou who inspires and fires up his team mates (that beautiful crumbing goal from Butler wouldn’t have been possible unless Pou leaped up over a 5 man pack and brought the footy eloquently in front of Buttsy)
I vote for players who are not easily replaced in the team

Re: Votes v Blues
I commented on the match thread that this season is Ross' best season, better than his B&F in a poor side.
Steele and Crouch were underperforming, tagged, or otherwise not impacting, but Ross stepped up. Was huge for us.
I only had Howard (same theory but with Wilkie negated), Owens, and Sinclair (For his game winning Q3) ahead of Seb.

1 Ross
Special mention to Gresham, here's hoping round 5 was an aberration & you don't need a rocket to perform to a standard that you are clearly capable of.
