Blake Acres
Always rated him.
For whatever, just couldn’t take the next step while wearing the RWB.
Seems to have finally gone to the next level at Carlton.
Good on him.

Re: Blake Acres
Went up a gear at Freo but hasn’t quite been able to maintain consistency. I think that was his best ever game in terms of disposals
Re: Blake Acres
Well, we now have Wood who is an improvement
The only negative being the age of Wood versus Acres
Wood is superior overhead - and, as I put on these sites, the area Acres needed to improve on to become very good if not elite
Carlton have got a good player from (originally) St Kilda
St Kilda have got a very good player from North Melbourne
So the loss of Acres is less painful
To digress, a look at the Premiership Table shows we have beaten two and lost to one of the top 8 (currently)
We have beaten 3 of those currently out of the 8
And we have not played any of the bottom 4
I haven’t looked to see who we play twice - or if we go to Geelong again this year (one week at a time and all that - plus St Kilda being St Kilda)

Re: Blake Acres
Acres is the sort of player who looks good playing for the sort of team that we were from 2012-2020. Which is exactly what Carlton is right now.
He wouldn't get a spot in the team that ran out last night, let along the team we will have when more of our injured players are available.

Re: Blake Acres
Good luck to him!
Carlton can keep him. I’m quite happy they gave us Stocker and Caminiti
